My passion was, is and always will be.... maths and graphics There were some financially frustrating moments back in 2008 due to recession as we had our salaries used to be delayed. i am not sure why you call it passion  . Passion by its definition is a shot lived emotion. To me Passion is something a suicide bomber has when he has decided to pull the trigger, it requires a certain level of euphoria, certain level of rush to act in a "state" of passion. You seem to be alluding that Passion exists in dormant, high and may be moderate states. to me that is not a defintion of Passion. To me Passion is when you are at the high. | ||

the degree of passion may change with time for anyone. "feeling the need to be successful" i would think is they are passionate about their success rather than thing at hand. people passionate about a particular thing may not care about success or failure. i tend to agree that passion is kind of innate trait. all the gr8 scientists must be passionate about their subject. i heard that Da Vinci would go to grave and dug the grave and dissect the corpse to understand the anatomy. i wud think this is heights passion.. | ||

there in lies the use of passion. the pursuit of being successful. Can a succesful person continue with passion? what about feeling the need to be successful?
Although - i dont have anything scientific in nature, but i feel passion is a personality trait, and could be very well genetic. I also believe that we cannot discount the social nurture. Most artists love their art, but we feel that only passionate artists are successful, It may be just our perception. | ||

There is NO JOB/PROFESSION in the world that is fun ALL THE TIME. Once there are mandatory rules like you have to be there by 8 AM and has to be there until 5 PM or this HAS TO BE DONE by this time etc., the passion or liking will go away. Passion driven by monetary gains always fizzles out after sometime...often ppl mistake the zeal to make money through some means as passion or project that something is their passion to hide their desire for monetary gains from tohers. those always fizzle out sooner or later...because you are not making as much as u planned or u think what u get is not enough for your efforts.. passions that are not driven by money stay. eventually you may be making money from that passion later,but it was not money that drove you to get there. take a wild life photographer....take a professor( they can easily make more than many IT guys, but teaching is their passion) Happy Vizag | ||
