While this guy is definitely guilty and need to be punished, the DERA concept was noble and it was interesting to know how it came to existence. As we all know, how the SC/ST's were forbidden to enter temples and how they were discriminated in the past all over India for centuries. The atrocities on these people in North India is much more brutal compared to South India. So to bring those suppressed and untouchables closer to god, this DERA movement was started. Apparently they use to put huge tents and conduct various rituals and invite everyone to these tents (hence the name DERA). After knowing this, I started respecting their goals. But, this guy definitely misused his position and needs to be punished. | ||
