I disagree. We are opening multiple threads to discuss plot proves the quality of the movie. When was the last time the likes of Anand_n goru took time for a movie review and interact on the script details. If you use the same lens to gauge, you would find lot of holes in any Hollywood movie. Give credit where it is due. I see the movie putting TFI in right direction than eekal peeking. | ||

Hmm - if that was the intent he succeeded in showing Sivagami's flaws very well ..the debate here was whether Sivagami was flawed at all - were her actions consistent with the character that was built up ? People wanted the see the strong,righteous queen maybe making a mistake , but not a queen falling to a fragile ego.. and that was the most common complaint against the movie that Sivagami's char got diluted ! Combined Bhallala's superhuman throw, it's pretty possible Anushka's dress didn't get wet, so it's reasonable to assume there wasn't a splash on her, so the fire keeps on burning | ||

Lol - let me add a few more of my son's observations to this review When bhadra's head lands into Bhalla's hand - there'a no hole anta  MB's arrow should have left a hole.. When MB makes a running jump to the fort gate and bhallas arrow knows him down - got a physics lesson on how the arrow's force cannot reverse the momentum of a 200 lb man .. When anushka is walking to the bridge and the head falls into the river splashing everyone - how did the fire on her head not go out ? Each character in the movie has negative shades, like most real people. Sivagami - a queen - feels guilty that she could get a bride to his son, who in her eyes grew leaps and bounds, when he declared that he is not insecure to feel bad for losing the throne. Added to that, guilt, the response from Devasena would send any leader to yield an emotional/arrogant response. Sivagami is a powerful character - and she does have pride. her pride gets dented when his other son takes the side of a women who treated her badly. Devasena has her own flaws. AB also loses his control when he kills the new senapathy, without waiting for justice to take its due course. the only guy who was in control is Bhallaladeva - until he feels he has reached his destiny. if he would have eliminated Devasena after he became a king, instead of seeking pleasure in her suffering, he might have lived longer. everyone has character flaws in the story. which i feel is a great way to build a story. | ||

Again a miss in being able to convey the thought process of Sivagami ...a couple of additional dialogues there could have changed the perception of it being an egoistic impulsive action instead of a well thought out one .. Even Prabhas 's dialogue ithere should have been better than saying "You " were wrong - if he had focused on the law of the land - it would have made both chars look better! AB removed as a king as he failed to obey a direct order from reigning rajamatha. He was only appointed but not sworn in. He was asked to capture devasena and bring her as captive. He bought her as lover. So she gave him 2 options obey her order which means devasena is a captive and has no rights or treat her with respect and loose throne. Jokes apart - looks like a lot was lost in editing ! If they had added a minute or 2 doing flashbacks walking thru Sivagami's acceptance of AB turning traitor - it would have connected better One scene pulling Kuntala desam troops together and strategizing with katappa could have helped the transition ... However as my son said Sivagami's char was destroyed with the one scene where she decides to crown Rana ...that turned her from a strong righteous leader to a narcissist in his words ... Katappa atleast was consistent ! Watched second time with my teen as he could not join us the first and it was fun listening to his running commentary on physics/logic bloopers he loved the music , BGM, scale, Visuals and the focus on spirituality/dharma and the drama scenes better than the action scenes!The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance; the wise grows it under his feet : James Oppenheim | ||

Rana kurrod also rocked. Amazing transformation from a skinny guy in leader to bulky ballal deva. Villany inka chooyichalsindy 2nd part lo. Kurrod voice lo base good, facial expressions improve cheskovali. Good thing is he is not hung up on hero roles and tries to do various characters..second fiddles n guest appearances in other languages. Much anticipated fight with MB was a let down. Finally watched BB2 in movies, regal Lo sound system bavundy but the volume was so high, they could turn it down couple of notches. Review kadu gani let me share my take on the key players: SSRM - kurrod commitment and dedication ki hats off. IMO his career can be divided into pre-md and post MD. Pre-MD gore, vulgarity, etc. movies catered mainly towards masses chesad. Post MD he got sophisticated, exploring new areas and technology for story telling. More importantly he is improving with every movie. Good thing is he didn't go overboard in using graphics like Shankar but interlaced them well with the script. Robo climax Lo aa formations chusi rofl. That said, in all RM movies the underlying plot is revenge. He should move away from that line and try to present something new. He definitely needs a good script writer!!! He succeeded to a large extent but failed in these scenes: 1. The whole sequence about Sivagami turning against AB was unconvincing. She Doesn't walk the talk after being so preachy. I mean..Come on, she doesn't even think twice why AB had to oppose her decisions for a person who was shown as shrewd. 2. Katappa gadi character worst..confused soul. The reason for killing AB was again unconvincing. 3. Anushka after being tortured for 25 years in that open cell, looks so healthy n puffy with big cheeks..really? 4. After getting kicked out from palace, both AB and devasena switches to non-silk outfits. When she enters the palace with a new born, again she appears in a silk saree 5.AB was shown as a well trained warrior n scholar but jr B despite any training picks up where his father left and fights even better as if it was in his genes. They should have at least shown him getting trained in tribal warfare. (GOT fans - what's the girls name..aarya stark assasinating the grey seas so convincing) 6.Nazar, Drana pakka unna panthul garu is slightly bald in AB's time..to show him as aged they gave him a full white wig I know I am being critical but attention to detail and convincing story telling are quintessential for great directors otherwise they will end up as good. My 2 cents movie was definitely good for telugu standards but definitely not worth all the hype. I am glad that Telugu movie got such recognition. Kudos SSRM!
