Ivvala mana BB2 maatram appati Sholay kantey bigger hit....Daanilo doubt pettukokandi. But Sholay might remain a bigger cult hit. Jst as Sholay 'might' have beat some of the regional movies collections with Hindi, Baahubali is beating many regional language IHs including in Hindi itself. Also, Sholay collected a Nett Collection of 15 Cr Pan India. No need for debate over Sholay's stature and impact. It became a cult PAN India and was the first and still the only genuine All India Blockbuster till BB2. Baahubali 2 however today is gonna be the next Sholay as it is recording the highest footfalls ever recorded across India in no less than 4 languages. What makes BB2 even more remarkable is that cinema is no longer the first choice of entertainment today like it was during Sholay days. But even then to capture imagination of 'Aam Aadmi' and become such a sensation across languages/religions/caste/states and becoming an astounding hit everywhere it has landed is the stuff of legends. SSR always used to say.....Movies with a good story with right emotions speak a universal language. He might not be the first one who believed that adage.....but definitely is the first one to have delivered tht. Taken a simple folklore story and jst executed it perfectly as always.
