Why would premiums increase when they are doing following A) no mandatory coverage for all B) Medicare expansion is rolled back C) essential benefits are reduced upon states interest It's simple economics, if 10 people are part of a plan and 2 people join with pre existing diseAses, then ten people who have been staying all along will see thier premium increase to offset new member medical bills. Now it's no longer an option. Young people can now have lower insurance or no insurance. Old people don't need to buy insurance for benefits such as pregnancy or men for breast cancer screenings. This was much better than Obamacare. Recently aetna a single payer is pulling out from iowa due to increased costs End of the day insurance companies don't pay they pass it on to people. Atleast now required people will pay required amounts only. People can seek state assistance and private funding who has severe medical expenses. Rather than pay as tax, people can willing contribute to charity. Lets say that a kid is born with a disease or an uninsured is diagnosed with Cancer or any major ailments, previously insurers would not have covered it but with AHA or Obamacare insurers were forced to cover it, but with GOP bill they now are giving the powers to states to decide whether to accept people with pre-existing conditions or not..state governments can put the people with pre-existing condition in a separate pool and federal government will fund it by giving 8 billion over 5 years but as per conservative estimates states would need about 200 Billion over 5 years so the fund provided by federal govt is way too small amount... One of the biggest complaints about Obama care was, it was expensive but this one ain't cheap either...what ever money that saved but removing basic necessities like ambulance will go to rich as tax breaks...
