Why should there be a purpose to life? For centuries mankind has been searching for an answer and found none because there isn't any purpose. We are here purely because of an accidental chemical reaction that happened billions of years ago. We are here by accident and there is absolutely no greater purpose ante mana ego hurt avutundi.. hence we have been searching for an answer to satisfy our selves. Thousands of scientific geniuses, countless spiritual gurus walked this earth for centuries. If there was a purpose, i am sure they would have found it and shared it with aam junta. Why should there be a purpose for us alone? Why not for all the living organisms? What is the purpose of millions of life forms under the ocean, in the forests, mountains, deserts etc? (Other than help balance food pyramid) My take - Since there is no greater purpose to life - Just enjoy the life every day one moment at a time Don't say you don't have enough time. I am blessed may be but I did had my own share of sorrows and extreme difficult, different (read as no money) situations until few years back. BTW there is nothing wrong in getting these thoughts. Every person at some time in the life has to go thru these thoughts, When one gets them decides the about the path for the rest of his/her life. How one overcomes these thoughts and puts them in right perspective depends on many factors around including one's experience of life. This I feel is a critical stage of one's life if they are put in right perspective. We often tend to think that when one reaches a stage where nothing excites we see similar thoughts. But necessarily not. Sanatana Dharma has given enough literature to walk you thru these questions. the reason for the existence, the role we need to play, what things we need to do in life etc., etc., Basically the literature is not some theory, but the real experiences of our rishis put forward as literature. Probably this is the right time to start getting into identifying the real you and the connection to the world and surroundings, Once you become aware of that, life will be more and more interesting.. If a person like u with such good writing skills and a good position in the IT world can get such thoughts.. adi 100% nee fault... u can explore things ur interested in... dnt waste keep cursing urself Lemme say something.. you and i are in the same boat.. naak kuda daily when i wake up first thing that comes to my mind is - what the F am I doing? assalu ee job/stress/money/payments etc endi ee tension... does everybody live like me or am I the only one ane thought.. every damn day.. weekend or weeekday doesnt matter. I am not a passionate human, not a thope achiever when it comes to my career.. people around me work day in day out to make money or to work hard to go up the ladder in career... why am I not like them ane thought... chaala depressing sometimes.. But you know what gets me going? My family.. this is something we all do but we dont really sit and think to understand our life... u have and ur doing a lot but just sit back and think abt it.. My parents, wife, kid, at every phase of life I wanted to do something for them.. i may not be a success in this competitive world but i wanted to make my family successful and happy.. My parents have gone through a lot from 2004 to 2007 - worst years of my life because they were worst years of my parent's life.. i wont get in to the details but financially we saw the lowest point.. Maa cousin just born kid ni maa daddy vollo pedthe (for blessings), my dad said 'Pillalni yetthukovaale ante bhayam yesthundi amma... naa daridhram vallaki yekkada vasthundo ani bhayam' ani annadu.. he got very emotional.. That day decide aina... i will make my dad proud.. i will make the world say - koduku ante aayana koduku and I did it.. my family had said that to my dad personally many times.. he cant ask for anything better... from where my parents was few yrs ago to now.. I did achieve a great thing which keeps me going.. this aint a big thing for many.. but naaku naa family ki adi oka achievement.. next ippudu kid is my world.. i want to be a good day and be a role model ( at least hardwork and family commitment if not anything else) Ippudu idi antha enduku cheptunna ante... dnt think abt what you havent achieved.. think about what u have..... small things will make u happy, inspire you but you are losing those happy moments... I still will wake up everyday thinking what the F i am doing.. thats good bcoz that will keep u going.. u have a lot to achieve but dnt let the negativity pull u down... All the best!
