You cannot maintain both and if you have an American GC why do you need Canadian PR? Canadian PR is a good option if you are a DECADE or more away from American GC!! Maa friend 10 days back JUMP to CANADA as he is not expecting American GC any time soon and if he waits further he will loose Candian PR! EB2 priority date Feb 2008 and EB3 priority date Mar 2005. So those people can file for GC and pretend that they have GC in the future  | ||

You don't need to wait for appointment Health care is free in Canada(including Lab work,MRI,X ray etc)..you have to buy only medicines But there is a long waiting period for non essential surgeries/procedures Free Health Care comes in Canada comes with 39% income tax | ||

if you have insurance , much better in USA , does not cost much for many of us as employer provides them .. Canada lo , you need to stand in the lines and wait for months to get appointments ( second hand information , so not sure) - | ||

You can maintain both..quite easy if you live in Windsor ,Canada and work in Detroit (daily commute across the border) To maintain Canada PR ,you need to stay in Canada for 730 days in 1825 days | ||
