its purely cultural thing. All other storeis are BS in my feeling. We are not in to sports traditionally (exception Cricket, and Hockey to some extent in the 80s) 99.99% of common population including most of us here will resist their kids chosing any career other than a regular 9-5 job with some odd shifts being OK. that's how we are build , we want safety. People who were successful in India broke this pattern or routineness be it sports or business etc, otherwise they would have stayed as all other sheep in the mob. | ||

doesn't speak much It only means we are just learning sports of other nations (mostly from the west). We are just catching up and will be forever. Those sports don't come naturally for us. We are not strong enough to lobby for games which we have some natural advantage. US is able to do it. They added more swimming events. Bottomline : African and western nation have a natural advantage because of the power/stamina reasons. They are few events that are skill based but they have fierce competion from other asian countries | ||
