my mother added my name in ration card long long back. We don't have original of it but photocopy was suffice. If your name does not appear but your parents have ration card or adhar, take a proof of your relation with them and submit. Or any address proof. basically they will send the adhar card via post to that address. WRONG. maa brother whole family applied and got aadhar.
WRONG and no need of any money. I applied in VJA at karvy consultants office next to municipal stadium. Direct walk, fill in application, took photo with finger prints. all set. Only thing is no one there at home to pick my card  as it's been delivered also.. 15 days time.. meanwhile one can download the card from internet also!!!
