Could be - and also you guys probably never got the immersion in Rafi's songs that you got in Kishore's Case in point - Abhimaan has all rasas in songs sung by Kishore - from masti in 'meet na Mila' to sadness in tere mere Milan ki yeh Raina - but the most memorable song of the movie is Teri bindiya re - the only song sung by Rafi .. The legend goes that Kalyanji Anandji asked Rafi to sing Zindagi to bewafa hai and Rafi said you got all the songs by Kishore - just ask him to sing this one too- and Kalyanji Anandji said Kishore just cannot portray the pain you can .. Maybe subjective and personal choice- but Kishore's sad songs lo mainstay lyrics/ music anipistayi - but Rafi could convey deep sadness just with the wavering in the voice ..listen to o duniya ke rakhwale or the angst in yeh duniya agar mil bhi jaye to kya hai.. Rafi just takes them many notches higher ...very few Kishore songs have that effect on me - Manzilen apni Jagah and tere bina zindagi se koi are among those few ... Lol well said Rafi was shammi Kapoor and DevAnand's voice - mast and romance kings of their time...
