With NW Programming (C/Unix), bay area is the best place to live.. if you go out of here, there is not much value because people dont know much about it. Agree life in bay area is little hectic with all the traffic etc, but for your profile I don't know if there is any better place in the world | ||

you should look at austin, that's the destination to be at in texas with your background you should easily find multiple options to choose from just put a profile out there on linkedin or any of the job sites and shop, the recruiters and headhunters should flock to you | ||

Why Texas? I see lot of interest among general Desi's to move to Texas. 1. Housing used to be cheap, not anymore and it is too expensive . If there is a buble to burst, its going to start here. 2. Jobs- Too much migration and thus too much competition. May be not a dterrent factor if you are well qualified . Same poinyta sabove applies.. If there is going to be a downturn in economy, too big a problem to find another Job in Texas unlike east coast where you have more states at your disposal. 3. Weather. Good and bad. For desis it is excellent but in Summer...you wish you are not here. You may ask, Why I am here?. -- I dont know..I never worked out of Texas and not interested to adapt to new location going further | ||
