Last year, I have visited India with family. My 2 years kid drank the water off the filter bottle at home(she was playing with the filter tap and drank some water). She has developed some kinda infection(its very clear.. more # of motions with steady increase of the body temperature. We took to a local pediatrician. He found that we are NRIs off america. Started Telling some medical terminology with high-fi lingo, asked us to admit the kid in his nursing home right from there. I have smelled something doesnt make sense and paid Rs 250 visiting fee and went to the medical shop near the hospital and bought the antibiotic for the toddler(most of the medical shops gives the medicine if you say symptoms). Called a family friend who is a heart specialist(not pediatrician) and spoke to him and told the name and the contents of the medicine. He said its simple infection starting(by evaluating the temperature that I took periodically from the begging.) after a day use of the antibiotic , the temperature gone down and completed 5 days course of the antibiotic. I dont recommend that this is the BEST approach to handle situations(lets say if my assumption is not correct..) but when you say that you are an NRI(kid is US born) and the Dr asked us to admit her right away, I lost my confidence on the Dr recommendation. So, when it doesnt make logical sense, take a safe second opinion as soon as you can. | ||

Ideally proper pace for doing root canal, ordering and placing a crown for 2 teeth ante 2 weeks and pakka planning tho vellali...plus kharma kaalithe they end up doing shabby work!
