While I partially agree with SC - his statement is bit naive or half-backed in the sense that Laws ARE handled case by case basis. Each case is handled in its own context, and the court system does rewrite laws when existing laws does not seem to fit the criteria used in other cases. To think Judicial system cannot or should not make amends is just farcical. I am not saying this guy should be punished more - I am sure the courts had their reasons - but only posting against SC's tweet. Its just comical to me. Only shows his mediocre knowledge about the Law. I am sure if he digs for a few hours he will find instances where Courts have use their discretion to amend previous laws. btw, public outcry on such cases should be taken with a pinch of salt from everybody. As long as people not taking laws into their hands, whats the problem with it? Modern Republic or the justice system - heavily deduces from the Socrates arguments - Most court systems/ republics follow the same principle. That a JUST city is always more successful and happier than an UNJUST one. There is a direct correlation between civic justice and civic happiness. if the civilians are not happy with the republics "JUST" behavior - is the republic really "JUST" or is it even relevant? Again, i am not saying that courts should consider public outcry, but to say that Law is not on a case by case is a wrongful notion. | ||

people are frustrated not merely because of judgement..it was just that the outburst came after that.. for 3 yrs her parents were approaching everyone they could in political and legal sphere and they were told to keep faith in our system..3 yrs ago everyone knew our laws say so and so..the question here is what is done after that?? yes the laws were made by us and not aliens..hence the bigger frustation especially because the moment someone talks abt change, the arguements from the other side swing from akbar - birbal durbar to simple no they cant be changed..and even if they can, this case is closed now.. this entire inability, inefficiency of system, the phobia the moment someone talks abt change and then hiding behind the mask of we the modern republic cant change laws for every case is pixxssing many people off.. can a law provide complete justice to every individual case? - nope, no sane mind can expect this magical solution.. but what if a law provides complete injustice and on top of it closes its doors completely quoting their own system , that too in the most notorious case??- such a law has to be pissed upon.. rest mee boogey man simple mind frustation etc.. | ||

Juvenile acts are well thought through. It's been debated largely, and larger consensus is required on how to proceed. Asking to treat the teens between 16 & 18 to treat as adults in r@pe cases has resulted in debate between child rights and women rights. Any relaxation in Juvenile Act will lead to wider misuse of the act. That's where we are stuck and takes sometime to propose a right amendments to the law.
