Example: I had a baby, got passport+PIO/OCI. 1) 5 years passed(all happies).. passport renewed.. now going to India.. take passport 1 + passport 2 + pio/OCI with your baby. 2) 10 years passed(all happies).. passport renewed 2nd time.. now going to India.. take passport 1 + passport 2 + passport 3+ pio/OCI with your baby. 2) 15 years passed(all NOT happies).. passport renewed 3rd time.. now going to India.. take passport 1 + passport 2 + passport 3+ passport 4+ pio/OCI with your baby. 4) You got frustrated and left your teenager in US. Note: you cant take first and last passport with PIO card. You should be able to prove its continuity if Indian authorities messes you up at POE. In software design, we call this application is NOT SCALABLE | ||

so, Jun 22 received and acknowledged anukunte, we received matchup request email on Jul 29. once matchup email received, the process should be fast....just check the passport, pio and stamp visa.....it takes a day or two. | ||

adhi telisindhi but this is what they say in case of minors. in general passport cancel chesinappudu, passport cancelled but VISAs in the passport valid ani stamp estaru (indian embassy vallu). I am expecting the same with US. If that is the case, then we are good other than carrying little bit extra luggage  | ||

PIO tho bandi nadapocchuu Machine readbale antee , when we go to India Immigration counter lo it will be flash to complete formalities as the Immigration clerk need not key in the info from passport. So it will be additional 10 more minutes BTW, starting from November they are saying non-machien readble Indian passports not valid for journey and one need to apply new passports (which are applied before 2007 or so) No Signature | ||

red-master, naa OCI ki first email ichadu, photo is not acceptable ani. nenu malli post chesa. after that matchup. all the things I used regular USPS flat-rate envelope. only return service ki vaadi daggara fedex book chesa. fedex nayala envelope door ki irikinchi vellad. (signature kooda teesukokunda). CKGS gaadu cheap gaa mail chestunnadu. overall experience with CKGS not bad. OCI: lo daridrulu OCI card tho paatu US passport lo VISA kooda stamp chestunnaru. ante passport expire ayyaka, VISA kosam carry chestoooooo undaali. OCI ichaka malli VISA endira daridrullara ani aravanalni undi | ||

If you are still in the market for OCI in lieu for PIO read on.. if not, jump out. I am looking at cgisf.org site notifications and mha(ministry of home affairs) official notification with respect to this nasty ckgs site.. CKGS is misleading with old process in place. In the new process, we dont need to visit CKGS, everything is online till we get the final approval from Goverment with the OCI card. At the end all we need to do is to go to the CKGS, give old PIO and pickup new OCI card.
