Guys.. rent vs owning home has two things When you own home first five year you pay maximum interest in the monthly payments. Assume you paid 3k per month 1800 will be your interest which is more than rent your 1500 rent 700 will your town tax 400 will be your principal.. means you are adding only 400 to principal.. the 1800$ which you are paying will not come back.. if you are paying 1500 or less rent for 2 bedroom then you are not going to gain anything by buying house.. first think whether you need house are not. You will enjoy house when you use all bedrooms, bakcyard. basement .. etc.. It will happen only when you have 5+ years old school going kids. otherwise buying home is for just durada.. people may argue that buying house will yield more returns when you sell it and house prices may go up.. houses mida invest chesi money sampadinchina vanni nenu sala takkuva susa usa.. Thammud RALEIGH aa? For 7 weeks I had to run around before finalizing a House for one of my relative who is moving into RALEIGH area in August. I have seen nearly 15 properties out of which 5-6 were suiting our requirements but all of them were BID much higher than asking price...for example 1 house was listed 425K and some one bought it for 450K and this house the 1st owner got it for 345K in 2012!!! Same was 1 house which is 2006 built was listed for sale for 350K...we offered to buy for 368K but did not get it as some one quoted above our price! Yeah if you think paying higher rent, better go for condo or townhome in good school community,so that instead of paying rent, you pay to build your equity. If you wanna Buy Home, Buy for your family enjoyment, good neighborhood and schools US housing market is not an investment for people like us. it is only for high end folks who can flip the houses with cash or >800k houses If out motive is to have good life style not for investment purpose we need not worry about crash. Honestly speaking I dnt need a house now and dnt have to worry abt schools ratings etc, my kid is less than a yr... kaani I have to move to a bigger place soon .. 2 bedroom kaavale with nice community for the the kid - playing or friends koncham circle kaavale kid ki.. i live in a 2 family surrounded by retired oldies ... kid ki friends dorikedi zero scope even after 1 yr Moving choosthe rents 1500+ unnayi... i was thinking i might as well buy a condo or townhome with mortgage, HOV etc of 2k per month... so struggle started.... schools, property taxes, house appreciation etc etc.. | ||
