With a pompous title like Okka Mogadu, and a die hard fan of the Nandamuri clan handling the ambitious project, one expects nothing short of a grandiose film. The hype preceding the filmâ��s release about Balakrishna playing a dual role had expectations soaring but a clichéd plot and characters with a weird make up (Simran and Sr NBK) intended to give a natural look mars the enthusiasm of the movie goers on the opening day. The film however illogical makes it a worth watch for only one reasonâ�¦Balakrishna. Never has the actor looked so young, so good in the recent years and never has he blended so beautifully in the directorâ��s line of thinking. Brilliantly portrayed the senior simply roars onto the screen and dominates the central segment of the movie leaving the junior with some duets. Poor direction has plummeted the actorâ��s career graph of late but this one film with his dances and dialogues will silence his critics and mimicry artistes whoâ��ve had a field day imitating him. Simran is the centerfold of the piece. There are a host of other cameos from actors, but really it comes down to these three. A refined version of Bharateeydu, the music is delightful and infectious and dialogues pack substance and lend credibility to the part pre-independence drama. The camerawork is beautifully integrated and the angles used in the songs/setups are wonderful at sucking the audience into the scenes. Style drips from every frame. A lot of love went into the production values of this film. Violence is restricted to a minimum and certain sexual innuendos and conversations from Anushka and Nisha fall short of perversity. Their characters are ambiguous and pre-eminently their job is to lust for Balakrishna. YVS Chowdary would have been a happy man instantly had he chosen a simple romantic ••• action story but with the complicated plot he will have to play the waiting game and depend on Balakrishnaâ��s charms alone to become the winner of the festival films. /Sunitablogs | ||

ramayya vasthavayya: After attempting : Class movies like Brindavanam , Oosaravelli - Comedy movies Like Adurs,Badshah , Failed village oriented movie like Dammu, NOW NTR is back with pacca Commercial entertaining movie this time ! Story is nothing new but not predictable. jrNTR , Samantha scenes came well. Samantha never looked so good and also so sexy. jrNTR much more improved his comedy timing. His Costumes, makeup and total appearance is even better than Brindavanam. Comedy maree rib tickling range kaadhu gani alaa alaa vellipotu untundhi decent comedy tho. Interval episodes were Good. Multiple threads vunna story ni neat ga interlace chesaadu director santosh srinivas Multiple threads undadam tho starting of the movie shaky untundhi, but as it progresses RABHASA engages the audience well. Unlike NTR's routine movies, entire first half of this movie is class and youth oriented. No self boasting dialogues nor unwanted action episodes. NTR,Samantha,Praneetha college episodes neat ga vachaayi ( He is not student though ). First song MAAR SALAAM (3/5) has entirely different picturization , not his typical fans appealing stuff. Second song Raakaasi Raakasi (3.5/5) sung by NTR himself is good, third song Garam Garam chilaka (4/5) is the best of the best, one of the best in NTR's movies.There is no rib tickling comedy in first half but just its never slows down and keep moving decent. A decent family entertainer till now !! Second half starts with two excellent action episodes which appeal to fans and masses. Then story establishes and all four families said above are now connected story wise and followed by the final showdown series of episodes at Jayaprakash Reddy's home. Brahmi adds up the required fuel to the comic fire and result is a non-stop comedy of 50 minutes in second half. Though the setup is rehash of previous hit telugu movies, comedy generating sequences are NOT rehash. Brahmi excelled as usual ! Hawa Hawa 4/5 a classy shot song, Last song Dum Dumare rehash of brindavanam song situation ki perfect ga workout ayyindhi emotion ! Climax sodhi...A complex story threads ni manchiga deal chesadu director. Pace ekkada down avakunda bore lekunda chusadu Bharinche vaadike demudu ekkuva bhadyatalu isthaadu ! SOS: *Trivikram Srinivas is a Brand synonym to Clean family entertainers even at his worst performance day ! * Rarely he delivers illogical Junk !! * We never see him fail with PEN especially !! But, in S/O Satyamurthy he partially succeeded in first point minus "entertainment" ! Plus He delivered illogical kichidi movie , failed with PEN !! In SOSMurthy, the whole story/core point been explained in first 15 to 20 minutes and since then expansion of the plot has utterly failed. Ivvala repu chinna chitaka writers/directors kuda ee cinemalo trivk kanna chala better job chesthunnaru Story : PrakashRaj is a rich 300 Crores businessman who dies in a road accident and then all his business empire cripples post death. Son Alluarjun refuses to file bankruptcy , rather prefers to pay off his father's debits. The reason he conveys to his well-wishers, who advised to file bankruptacy, is he doesn't want to earn bad name for his father ( post death ) ; Till then interesting point, narrated in appealing to families. Trivikram portrays the materialistic / money mindedness of the rich people very well. He seems cynic about the real life achievers in his movies. Be it NRIs/IT guys/Rich business people he always paint them in -ve way, however that's just my observation but no issue All such good start of the movie ends in first 20 minutes and then onwards its weakest first half of the trivik movies. No punch dialogues, zero entertainment and bad songs made on the whole first half as below average one; Allu arjun starts on his own to earn money as wedding organizer, in process meets samantha who is daughter of RP. Eventually cinematically alluarjuna challenges with RP to get his piece of lost commercial land back on the condition RP has to agree to marry his daughter to ALLU.....and rest is the rest of the movie; In second half, story moves to tamilnadu village where upendra lives. Day in day out they tease each other and try to trouble each other. Those teasing scenes director tried to mimic Tom n Jerry characterization.
