after a long time he acted sensibly rather was controlled by director in "aa naluguru".

If being telugu is the only consideration and among all other so called actors then probably RP could be better.. But without any comparisions and evaluate RP only, then I don't think he is that great. Infact Chandra Mohan who fits into that category is really miles ahead of anyone.

Heard from an untrusted source that the setting is based on DSP's combined family structure in Vedurupaaka near Amalapuram where they used to live in a huge extended family. That's why the name Satya Murthy which is DSP's father's name Gorti Satya Murthy, a popular write in his hey day.
