Tournament start ayyi 2 weeks ayyindi, India ki 2 matches, next match on Saturday into dakota match...Australia had 2 weeks of rest because of their match being rained out...prolonged periods of waiting and sleeping with one off matches...there is an absolute dearth of excitement. atleast 3-4 days ki oka match undali for all key teams.. | ||

Simple any of the top8 team will play 3 opponents in group stage and other 3 coming from other group in super sixes. thats making each of the top8 teams playing 6 of the opponents missing one | ||

Also 2015 WC Schedule was bad.... Monday to Thursday only 1 game a day and during friday, saturday and sunday 2 games schedule chesaru which made bigger teams to have more off days 2 games a day consistently every day of the week should have been the schedule then 42 games would conclude in 21 days, now 42 games are getting concluded in 30 days ee scheduling valana kuda boring anipistundi janalaki | ||

I dont have any problem with the current teams/format... As a matter of fact we should encourage associate teams lekapothe how many decades should we play the same AUS, ENG, Lanka?? lets open the doors and new talent come and prove themsleves... The biggest problem with WC 2015 is they should have had one interesting match along with associate matches... ikkada chaala mandiki WC meeda interest potundi because there is like 1 week gap between the matches... | ||

Just because 2 minnows played a close match today does not maketh it a good match. I remember a match between 6N and 6J back in my school too which was nerve wracking. Have a 10 team tournament, so that 2 of the associates get in and each of them play everyone one else like in 1992. Top 4 go to the semis. There would be a string of matches between the big teams, though of course they can be one sided as we are seeing in this world cup. Here we have a month of redundant matches as most of the Quarterfinalists are pretty much chosen. Just because you want to give the associates a chance does not mean that you give them a platform at the marquee cricket tournament. There are a hundred other avenues for doing so. If that were the case, why 14 teams, get another 14. And India should also play the Football world cup and the Rugby world cup too. |
