No idea. I am not a fan of this form-factor cameras. They take pretty good pictures though. I prefer to carry P&S type (camera on phone) for flexibility or full DSLR for serious photography. This falls right in between, neither convenient to put in pocket nor powerful to compete DSLR. | ||

Moving to FF is ultimate goal, so start collecting lenses that are compatible. You can't go wrong with Canon or Nikon. I am a Nikon guy, so not much familiar with Canon models. I had debated for a while between D600 or D800 and finally pulled the plug on D800. Both are good cameras... pick the one that suits your budget. | ||

I have D7000, 18-105 and 35mm. if I want to buy the 70-200 f2.8 or f4.0; would that lens work on a full frame camera? I am not sure when I would upgrade to full frame but just asking about this particular lens as it would cost any where between $1500 to $2200 depending on f stop. | ||

General rule of thumb. Have one 3.5 - 5.6 aperture lens that covers entire focal length range. No need to replace lens all the time. Have separate prime and zoom lenses for 2.8 aperture or less. These are expensive and used for specific needs. BTW, if you are into photography hobby, you would not care for $200 difference. | ||

focal length of 55 is not wide enough. you may need another wide angle lens to cover under-55mm range. 18mm focal length on the other lens covers pretty much all the wide zoom. | ||
