Loved it Not because of the technical wizardry or the special effects , but this was one movie where IMAX 3D was needed and put to wonderful use- however many space vidoes you watch and pictures you see , it is hard to comprehend the magnitude, the relative scale ,and what it must be like to be out there ... friends, I was a little disappointed. I went in with big expectations because of word of mouth I received prior to watching the moving. It is one of those movies I just cannot agree with the popular opinion which has unanimously been raving, has a high imdb rating and critic rating. It did hold my interest but I will give it a 6/10 The 3D effect was just ok. Nothing in comparison to avatar. The skin show scenes were annoying, especially the end scene Muslim Indian Jootha hai japani (appeal to 1 billion muslim and another 1 billion indian demographic) contrived fire spark scene, accident created just to have some drama ridiculous drowning drama ( for a moment I thought, after that escape a crocodile will appear in the water and after coming on to the bank, a tiger would come) george clooneys strange cool acting in the initial part of the accident ( there seems to have been no sadness on the death of the Indian guy) Visually it was ok, I wasnt impressed, have already seen too many outer shots of earth from space Last nitpick, operation of russian and chinese satellites seemed a little too unbelievable. | ||
