Was having an casual conversation with a GP person that reminded me of this ..

Gayatri Parivar valladi research institute undali Haridwar lo- its called Brahmavarchas Shodh...Liked their statement of mission and read some of their articles long back about the research/experiments they were doing..effects of the practices on the body and mind, mostly psychology but also some physiology stuff , yajnopathy (yeah they used the term) - ekkado mantropathy ani kuda chadivanu but not sure if it came from their institute :-)

But have not come across any articles of published research from them recently - probably because I have not explicitly looked for them...

Meeku idea unda -do you know of any inroads they made ?

illogical rao garu.. beauty has got nothing to do with spiritual lens. just like you can find a home or palace built with stone beautiful and idol can be beautiful, unless you are saying everything that is built with stone isnt beautiful.
the world of appearances may or may not be real, or both may and may not be real - or may be indescribable; or may be real and indescribable, or unreal and indescribable; or in the end may be read and unreal and indescribable - its all Syadvada

Kaaba was originally built by Abhraham antaaru but my understanding enti ante when Prophet Mohammad conquered Mecca and moved back there from Madina he personally destroyed all other religious symbols. That was the first suppression or purge by Muslims, gaaaa time lo edhi miss ayyi vuntadhi and even now yearly twice they clean that stone and doesn't look like a Shivalinga at all.

Yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder :-) So you do not see beauty in stone sculptures, artistic decorations, metal works or pictures printed on paper either or only idol sculptures are the issue ?:-)

Ma temple lo devinavaratri alankaralu chestaru - assembling the motif, getting the form and countenance of the devi in her different forms is a work of art and takes hours and hours of effort from many people to put together :-)

May be your lack of faith or rather interest prevents you from looking close enough to see the differences in the alankarams that change the presentation of the idol :-) And then maybe I notice them all the more cos I am into art and colors as well as the faith :-)

7. Adrishya: According to "Shaktitantra", by means of the Vynarathya Vikarana and other powers in the heart centre of the solar mass, attract the force of the ethereal flow in the sky, and mingle it with the balaahaavikarana shakti in the aerial globe, producing thereby a white cover, which will make the Vimana invisible.

29. Aakaashaakaara: According to "Aakaasha-tantra", by mixing black mica solution with neem and bhoonaaga decoctions and smearing the solution on the outer body of the Vimana made of mica plates, and exposing to solar rays, the plane will look like the sky and become indistinguishable.//////////

Unfortunately we do not have much recorded history for indians. Till the 3 or 4 century BC, very few written history existed. Greeks when they visited India were surprised how little the recorded history is availAble at that time. Other issue is history written is self referential but does not give clue to outside world. This makes most our Puranas as hearsay. If we really have that much history, we would have stumbled upon some archeology findings

calling coke and mav......edoo website loo raasaad....

In a virgin forest in Borneo which, it is said, had not been penetrated by any human being until recently, explorers have found a sacrificial post with an inscription in a script akin to our Granthas characters. Historians know it as the inscription of Mulavarman of Kotei. Mention is made in it of a sacrifice, the king who performed it, the place where the yupas was installed. That the king gave away kalpavrksass as a gift to Brahmins is also stated in this inscription. All such details were discovered by Europeans, the very people who ridicule our religion.//////////

Howdy bro .

Mayans were primarily followed sun worshipers.. there are elements that arise curiosity. but a key thing to note is Mayans were building huge temples(if they can be called that), while vedic hindus did not build them until bhakti tradition became popular.

Vedic rituals until then were typically based on fire offerings , like yagnas ... kadha.

Yeah, this is a very interesting topic. Temple culture actually began earlier in south india than north. Read this link if you have time http://veden-akademie.de/index.php?article_id=135&clang=1
This topic definitely deserves a detailed discussion.

Regarding names and etymology, english is basically a parama engili bhaasa , meaning it derived words from several ancient languages including sanskrit...it is possible that vedic people had a world tour long before columbus and imparted sanskrit to locals...always interesting topic to research upon.

if you want name every irrational thought as spiritual, be my guest. as u said, science tells u that 2+2=4, and u can say that confidently after u have learned/mastered mathematics. when u have learned/mastered every spiritual aspect of hindu religion/vedas etc, you stand a chance to criticise it.

http://www.kamakoti.org/hindudharma/part2/chap2.htm

article:

The Sagaras, at last found the horse near the hermitage of Kapila Maharsi. Thinking that he must be the man who had stolen the animal and hidden it in the nether world they laid violent hands on him. Whereupon the sage reduced them to ashes with a mere glance of his eye. Such is the story according to the Ramayana. America, which is at the antipodes, may be taken to Patala or the nether world. Kapilaranya(the forest in which Kapila had his hermitage), we may further take it, was situated there. It is likely that Kapilaranya changed to California in the same manner as Madurai is something altered to "Marudai". Also noteworthy is the fact that there is a Horse Island near California as well as an Ash Island.

yeyy.... California was once Kapilaranya :D :D :D

hanuman chaalisaa

Juga sahastra jojan par bhaanu
Leelyo taahi madhur phal jaanu

juga means the sum of Four Yugas (1 complete Mahayuga) with unit in divine years.
Satiyuga= 4800 divine years
Tretayuga=3600 divine years
Dwaparyuga=2400 divine years
Kaliyuga=1200 divine years

So 1juga= 12000
Now next is sahastra is common sanskrit word meaning "1000"

Next is jojan also know as Yojan that equals to 8 miles

lets calculate distance of sun from earth

Juga X Sahastra X jojan (in miles) = 12000X1000X8= 960,00000 miles
Now 1 mile= 1.6km
So 960,00000 miles= 960,00000X1.6 km = 1536,00000km.
Today estimated dist is approximately 15,0000000 km which is close to above.

Urdu has a very developed alphabet - numeral correlation...like romans they initially used their alphabets as numerals and later they used it to write chronograms - verses that communicate an encoded date (tarikh)if you convert it to numbers...

Bismillah ... converts to 786 ... alage konni flowers are holy because the names convert to 66 same as Allah or some such - sarigga gurtu ledu - but very interesting compositions of chronograms and symbology :-)

Mav,

786 is not actually as holy or important to muslims as we think, and it is strangely more popular with indian muslims. Note that ismal condones the usage of any idols or symbols to represent anything holy, and there by attribute to Allah.

as a principle - most conservative muslims do not accept 786 as a religious symbol - it against their core beliefs.

some people use it in place of a verse with bismillah al-rahmaan al raheem . simply meaning in the name of allah, the beneficient, the merciful .

hanuman chaalisaa

Juga sahastra jojan par bhaanu
Leelyo taahi madhur phal jaanu

juga means the sum of Four Yugas (1 complete Mahayuga) with unit in divine years.
Satiyuga= 4800 divine years
Tretayuga=3600 divine years
Dwaparyuga=2400 divine years
Kaliyuga=1200 divine years

Today estimated dist is approximately 15,0000000 km which is close to above.

hanuman junction to sun distance enthoo hanuman chalisa loo clear gaa seppaar

Aa site emiti andi - mari ikkada titte GA articles laaga rasadu -

Some Hindu Followers believe that Number 786 is OM.
Some muslims from Egypt dont know importance of 786

But no Islamic scholar so far has been able to explain from where this number originated.

Numerology is prohibited in Islam. As per some muslims, people have introduced it in Islam by attaching some numbers to Arabic letters.

It is an established fact that Muhammad was illiterate therefore it is obvious that he would not be able to differentiate numbers from letters. It is said, This magical number is none other than the Vedic holy letter "OM" written in Sanskrit. If "OM" is read backwards in the Arabic way and magically the numbers 786 will appear!

So he could not differentiate between letters and alphabets of his own language but could make out the numbers written in devanagri lipi :-)

Funny Part is
People say no idol worship
1. but goto thier worship places face a wall or some statue to prey
is it not for focus ? still they criticize idop worship

2. why should they do pradakshin anound a worship place which is no where see in the world ?

3. ishalayam is the word from where this whole thing originated

4. Muhammad the dessendent of those migrats from the north-western part of the Dried our Ancient Sarawathi river, felt the need to start a new faith on the basis of sanatana dharma, by removng all rituals and worship idol.

5. Then he destroyted all the dieties , and changed names to form a new faith

All Arabic copies of the Koran have the mysterious figure 786 imprinted on them . No Arabic scholar has been able to determine the choice of this particular number as divine

AFAIK, this is a numeric value of "Bismillah" calculated per their system- so it is treated as equivalent to Bismillah and hence divine.Irony is the numeric value of Hare Krishna calculated by that system is also 786 anta :-)

That said - cultures intermingled - concepts travelled ... ekkadivi ekkada telayo emo :-)

The Black Stone which is the Shiv Emblem (also known as Sange Aswad which is a corrupted form of the Sanskrit word Sanghey Ashweta--meaning non-white stone) still survives in the Kaba as the central object of Islamic veneration. All other Vedic Idols could be found buried in the precincts or trampled underfoot in labyrinthine subterranean corridors if archaeological excavations are undertaken. TheBlack Stone has been badly mutilated, its carved base has disappeared and the stone itselfis broken at seven places. It's parts are now held together by a silver band studded with silvernails. It lies half buried in the South Eastern portion of the Kaba Wall (Refer to Figure 1). The term Kaba itself is a corruption of the Sanskrit word Gabha (Garbha + Graha) which means Sanctum.
Check out that Muslim(extreme right) in the white Veshti (dhoti)and angavastram(upper garment) worn in the traditionalHindu Brahmin style.
Prophet Mohammad's uncle was the chief priest in the Kaba.
Any doubt then that The kaba was a hindu temple and Mohammad himself was a hindu??????????????
All Arabic copies of the Koran have the mysterious figure 786 imprinted on them . No Arabic scholar has been able to determine the choice of this particular number as divine.
It is an established fact that Muhammad was illiterate therefore it is obvious that he would not be able to differentiate numbers from letters.
This "magical" number is none other than the Vedic holy letter"OM" written in Sanskrit (Refer to figure 1).
Anyone can try reading the symbol for "OM" backwards in the Arabic way(not in English) and magically the numbers 786 will appear !!!!!!!!!!
Muslims in their ignorance simply do not realize that this special number is nothing more than theholiest of Vedic symbols misread.
Read from right to left this figure
of OM represents the numbers 786 in Arabic
There are many such instances where the symbols and rituals ofVedic culture were completely distorted and falsified by Muhammad in his bid to "create" his brand new religion. However in his haste to deceive and because of his ignorance and illiteracy, thousands of Vedic symbols still remain. Although they have been distorted beyond imagination, they still remain as solemn reminders of Arabia's glorious Vedic past. Theycan never be suppressed
