It depends on who is in the opposition.I will give an example. NTR lost election in 1989 very badly. still he won majority seats in UA. but by 1991, In first phase he won 13/17. After that rajiv gandhi died and second phase went to congress. what did ntr do in those 1 year. Nothing. why he was able to turn around. He has credibility. Leader tappulu cheyyochu kaani tappudu manishi kakoodadhu. take CBN. he lost elections in 2004. till 2014, he could not turn around. aa time lo people dont have any experienced leader to turn to except CBN. kind of last option and being only option. 96 lo 17/42, 98 lo 12/42 MP seats techukunna TDP 1999 lo win ayyindhi BJP Kargil wave plus freebie schemes like deepamu. This is the only way to save party. After NTR generation, there is no strong district level leadership. CBN always encouraged useless fellows. yes he lost very badly .. lot of drubbing .. he is not a mass leader but he knows how to adapt and change unlike stubborn leaders. YCP won and its not easy to steer andhra into development with freebies announced. very uphill task and mostly will make public unhappy even if CBN was there. Only alternative to YCP is TDP (dont tell me BJP) .. i dont think andhra has apetite for national parties now given what has been done over the past 10 years. PK - dont think he is serious, so are his followers. I seriously want him to be in public and provide alternative to current politics but dont think he has it in him (Hardworking). He has right intentions but dont think thats enough to take forward. I am not talking about his failure this time (Thats fine as we all expected) but how he reinvents himself/ CBN - need to build second level leaders and start builing his image again .. too much of self publicity this term which was not needed..but TDP has got cadre.. they were with him for 10 years when they dint have power.. its not difficult to bring back the glory .politics can change in a week , so 5 years is a long time. CBN doesnt give up easily YCPians - enjoy the victory |
