Same here- mine is 6 yr old as well, will be starting kindergarten next year, fingers crossed on how he will cope with it. He improved a lot , we came off diet last year n haven’t been using any other vitamins or supplements. He still runs around a lot, couldn’t find any way to mitigate that. He wants to do everything his elder brother does , which is good n bad . | ||

Yes.. danikante mundu.. pre-evaluation ani daycare vade chesad.. and the feedback was that she will be categorised autistic she will be retained on classes etc.. And yes she was exhiting all the signs u n OP mention.. She used to repeat all the words we say Apudapudu.. if we adults speak she listens n repeats.. Ivi anni unna kani.. it didnt turn out that way.. ani naa experience cheptuna.. And we found out a lot about the why it solved theory.. after the fact.. For instance.. ur symptom of not expressing enough or eyecontact.. thr was 1 desi kid in daycare.. turns out slowly she started talking to him..now she mingles with every1 in crowd.. Firang accent toh english adaragodutundi.. she sees other girls, thinks for momemt .. if she decides to talk.. hey i like ur dress ur hair ani she strikes it.. For someone on therapy.. like 6 months back.. so adi nenu cheppedi.. Peakerrrrr ji - it will be great if you can share contact of anyone on the spectrum that got benefited following khadervali. Can you share what issue you found with your kid n how that improved, what did you do etc. has a pediatrician mentioned that your kid was on the spectrum? Also what was it that your friends kids went through? Have you googled autism or watched videos of kids on the spectrum to know the difference between delayed speech vs autism? Please do that and learn more about what autism. That is the best way to help parents caring for autistic kids | ||

ofcourse yes, hes endorsed by so many Doctors country wide, all his advocacies r based on clinical trials which r well documented, published,tested n successful beyond anyone's apprehensions..he goes by all natural food remedies which r available n buyable by all n sundry.. he has a big farm in mysore, where he grows all 5 millets naturally n supplies them to the nearby villages n in his clinic for free.. i have seen n heard changes, reversals, which were always thought that they will just lead u 2 death bed... as far as i'm concerned..we r following his diet barring a few cheats n exceptions some times..cheats - meat n fish some times, rice n milk for tea or coffee for guests n friends.. all my kids including the youngest one who is not even an year old stopped taking dairy milk..which is substituted by sesame milk..to me that itself is a very big success..n hopefully we will continue it 4ever..n will be hugely indebted to Khaderjee for sharing n making it as a daily curriculum in our lives.. A native of Proddatur town, Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, India Dr. Khadar Vali has been working relentlessly in reviving siridhanya for the past twenty odd years. After graduating with a Masters in Science (with specialization in Education) from the Regional Institute of Education, Mysuru, he did Ph.D. on steroids from the Indian Institute of Sciences, Bengaluru. He married his classmate Ms. Usha. Dr. Khadar pursued his postdoctoral research on fellowship on environmental science from Beaverton Oregon, United States of America. His research was on deactivating deadly chemical substances like Agent Orange and Dioxins. At the time when food was being rapidly commercialized, Dr. Khadar felt that instead of working in a foreign country for a living it is meaningful to strive for a healthy society in his own country. not sure if it’s you but based on what you posted few months back your kid can benefit from speech therapy. 40hrs of ABA is counter productive imo, kid will be used to 1:1 rote repeat learning. Speech has so many nuances and he needs that, it will take time to get to back n forth. Find other places without wait time. Also, have you done OT , that helps overall. Kids need typical peers to model , imitate n learn which might be missing with 40hrs of ABA. I have free ABA but only do it for 10hrs a week so the kid gets used to typical environment . Mastaru, he can learn actual communication from crowd like India or need to wait, one day it will trigger. Believe me it is almost 90% ppl case. If your wife is not working, ( though you dont like thus option)please spend in India. Otherwise prepare for 5-6 years of his age to get normal on communication. Good news is, it is not major concern. You need to give the environment to improve rapidly or need to wait for 1-3 years. Try to engage him with kids. Take him to library story time and all community related activities. You kid is normal and he is developing in one dimensional. i dont know if its the food.. but i feel the amount of electronics involved in lives .. may be contributing anipisthundhi.. but no one knows yet... also - hyderabad, the city i am from has, more number of autism support centers, than Birmingham, al, a city where i was, when we had our initial doubts about my kid. It was a doc in hyderabad, who was the one first who suggested that we may have to check if our kid was on spectrum... my kid was about 20 months then. so... its not like kids in India are not getting affected. | ||

this is a phase. it will take some time to understand the dynamic of back and forth conversation. My observation is, in the initial phases, when they just start to follow instructions.. communication is one way and only step. that is .. they may ask for some object.. with the understanding, that you give that object or repeat what they said... they have not yet conceptualized the idea that - communication is two way. the toys they play with, especially the electronic ones that speak.. behave the same way. that is they respond one way for an action they take. like pressing one button, or one link, respond back with a one way response. they are essentially modeling the same way. it takes abit of practice for them to understand back and forth coversation. you may try playing number games... which have turns... like if he says 1, you say 2 until he says.. the next number by himself...and then you an say the next number... there is no other option other than playing verbal turn taking games.. pat-a-cake .. pat-a-cake is another good one... where you can mix hand movements with vocals.. and turns... | ||

try taking to autism self help groups near by, make him play with kids of his age...become active socially.. talk to him, engage in long conversations as much as possible.. stop milk, give him sesame milk instead... stop rice, wheat, baby food, white sugar, meat, eggs, veggie/canola oils give him millets, millets jaava(for his Gutt improvement, yougurt, ghee, fruits, veggies, brown sugar, thaati bellam, honey, curries with coconut/groundnut/sesame oil try these...they will certainly help you.. we made tremendous progress, he is fully aware of the environment, active in playing ,he can feed himself,asks for small help etc.. he repeats everything what i ask him to say, some times he doesn't care , koncham pressure chesthe manam em chepthe adi repeat chesthadu the one are i couldn't able improve is communication for eaxample if i ask his name by saying "what is your name" he responds saying what is your name.. he is obsessive with numbers , he can read upto 999 numbers and alpha bets etc.. funny thing is he know spanish numbers also, some time he is saying tables also my biggest challenge so far is improving his communication.. please help any methods or therapies which will help him he is going for full time ABA, 5 day a week 8hrs.. i am trying to put him in speech therapy , but long waiting time.. any help |
