t360 Mahanayakudu takes off slowly in first 15 min as movie treads on points already covered in the first half. Director glances through some key episodes on how NTR stormed to power in 1983. Episodes showing rift between Nadendla Bhaskara Rao and NTR are depicted well and movie picks off from that point. Movie ends with NTR retaking power and scenes after that are pretty ordinary. Balayya gets good marks for the role of NTR. Overall, Mahanayakudu is a political biopic aimed to further cause of TDP and Chandra babu. Commercial success depends on how general audience embrace the film. Come what may he is not coming in May. | ||

Behind the Scenes: After the failure of NTR Kathanayakudu and so many controversies surrounding, all eyes are on Nandamuri Balakrishna’s NTR Mahanayakudu, the Second of the famed Biopic of NTR. The movie is releasing with a low buzz and poor promotions. Let us see how NTR Mahanayakudu is received by the audience: Storyline: NTR Mahanayakudu begins with Ramanna Katha Song with Montages of what happened in NTR Kathanayakudu. The film is all about how NTR campaigned across the State to bring a Sensational Victory to TDP and become the Chief Minister in Record Time. It is followed by Nadendla Coup and how NTR is back to Power with the support of the People. . Star Shine: Balakrishna is a Perfect Fit as NTR. His age also suited to the Getup offering a treat to Nandamuri fans. Performance wise, he is largely good as NTR. Vidhya Balan is excellent as Basavatarakam. She is extraordinary in some emotional sequences. Rana is superb as Chandrababu Naidu and delivered a composed Performance. Sachin Kedkar is excellent as Nadendla Bhaskar Rao but his role is toned down to avoid controversies. Bharath, Vennela Kishore, Prudhvi, Sameer are okay. Technical: NTR Mahanayakudu is technically good. Krish did good research on NTR’s life but then, he struggled in narrating it well. There are no highs and lows to keep the audience engrossed. MM Keeravani’s songs are good and the background score is exemplary. Gnanasekhar’s camera work is excellent. Sai Madhav Burra’s dialogues are the biggest assets of the film. Editing is fine. Production Values of the Analysis: Coming to the film, the first half has been decent with good tempo maintained until NTR coming to Power. Things slowed down after NTR going to USA Tour. The Interval Bang promises a good second half with Nadendla Coup. But Krish failed there. The movie runs flat despite having scope for elevation. Balayya in the role of NTR played a subdued character due to the Heart Surgery but that did not serve the purpose of the film. Finally, NTR Mahanayakudu ends up as a flat ride without enough cinematic highs. It will impress the fans but the normal audience will get disappointed.
