Summary from what I understood: The restaurant is Kajal's mind space. The traumatic incidents in her life did a number on her. She keeps reliving all those incidents in her mind. So, all the characters except the waiter that serves her cake are either her alternate personality or a character from her mind space. In real life also, she is a les and she lost her parents at some point after coming out. Because she keeps reliving and running all the scenarios again and again, she is extremely struggled. The only solution that she could think of is to take her own life. To be able to make a movie with such an intriguing and intricate concept knowing that it may not work takes a lot of conviction.
