but that is not UHC. Here is one way to look at UHC uHc doesn't mean opening access. It is closing access. Single payer and that is it. You don't get a choice!!! around the time ACA mess was happening in senate, I posted pretty long thread on healthcare. I worked for a company that was one of the first to implement HSA. I was part of partner committee that participated in the study. It was already on a serious decline. The insurance was turning into a joke. The regulatory lapses were giving insurance companies lot of leeway!! Ex: United Health revenue went from 80B to 230B in span of 10 years!!! That is close to 300% growth!!!! ACA was the best way out getting better of both worlds.. instead of gutting it out , they should have tweaked it and focused on fixing it.. The only reason to attack Obamacare is politics... they did not have alternative plan and that is scary!! | ||

In a single payer system the govt. can force fair pricing, UHC is very difficult to sell in US one way dems can do it is by increasing doctor lead co ops and lifting all restrictions on health insurance companies. Compete and charge what ever you want . any insurer can provide service to anyone period | ||

I don't have any principle based opposition but it is not feasible for country like USA. It is too big for UHC. Inflated medical bills vadhu anukunte oppose UHC. I think it will lead to those.
