colleges follow the diversity rule,. If there are many smart students who all get 4.0 GPA, very few get to same college as diversity wont allow students from same high school, even though they are very much ahead of other highschool students of different high schools. One question to the other parents: we hear that in high school, it is better to go to one that has average rating one than higher rating high school where every other kid is too bright. People say, this would hurt the gpa where as if they are in an average high school, they get better gpa as it is relative. Is it true? BTW, this average high I am talking about is average because of student demographics rather than the programs/clubs. | ||

Thanks Friends. Anand gaaru, we both work. When we visited the campus 3 months ago, the admission officer clearly mentioned to all students that the school has only need based scholarships and no academic scholarships. Most probably, we dont get a penny

It’s not the programming he does not like - actually won a hackathon .. he does not like the idea of being stuck at a computer at his desk - and thinks engg will be better - the guy is very social may get a reality check later but I am ok with that as once he gets the rigor of an engg education , application prog is an easy skill to pick up

I still am not sure how kids get into these, how much role does parents play to make kids get there.. What I here from my friends is that after high school, there is very little role parents have in their kids future. in which state? Usually, these BSMD seats are limited to in state folks. I know about 5-6 kids over the last 3-4years who got into BSMD, all of them are in sports. May be co-incidence.
