Mav,
You tried to make fun of me mentioning other social reformers, and the Karanam system abolition. akkada TOPIC adhe. And, ippudu ee donka tirugudu enduku?
I am not saying NTR is a reformer, but this one action wrt Karanams is definitely an element of social reform, also appreciated by the people. And, one of the main reasons for TDP enjoying support in most Telangana areas all these years.
So, by you latest words, I take it that you support NTR's decision? Good. |

roagaru, i disagree,you mean how the strategic thinktank is always working overtime to malign ntr's caste because he challenged the status quo? What rumours ? what negative agendas and who? what caste specific negative agendas and rumours have been propogated by the kammas?. is it on reddys ,brahmins and kapus?. So what is it that kammas propogated specifically against them in the form of rumours and negative agendas? How many times have kammas been compromised by their friends? just because their friends are brainwashed by propoganda that it is ok to hate or disrespect kammas because they are 'castiest' and rest all are not. When it becomes a gang against one, it becomes persecution and castism is reinforced in a continous cycle of viciousness. |

As I said before, there will ALWAYS be MISCREANTS in ANY GROUP (caste, religion, location, etc) that take this too far.

Yes, there are instances of some Kammas doing this too (but nowhere similar to the first example in assembly).
BUT, PLEASE dont fall into the trap of some gossip propogandists generalizing that, and educating your gullible minds against a particular group. I dont believe that any group is inherently superior over others. |

The Karanam system is a pure artifact of the old, and does not fit in with modern democratic ideology.
