these are called shin pains. Every runner gets shin pains. The only solution is ice the area and take rest for a day and then start again. You'll get used to it after a while. | ||

Coke bro, thats exactly the pain I am taking about. Shin Muscles are very tender and get damaged easily. You will have to make them stronger, and not put alot of pressure. Do not run on tracks with a lot of elevation, and stop running on the first sign of pain. It does not matter what brand the shoe is, it has to do two main things. First, it should fit the foot without gaps, even at the bottom of the foot. If you are not sure, how to know this, go to stores where they draw out your foot and give you suggestions. Second, it should absorb shock when you run on tracks or roads. Usually most brands are pretty good at this. If shoes are lighter, it is an extra advantage. If you are a starter, make sure legs are not overworked. I have started running 3 to 4 miles a day with in a week, and damaged my shin muscles, it took very long for these muscles to rebuild. So start slow and easy, increase gradually. In this approach this you will be able to figure out a better shoe as you increase stress. If I am to name a brand, that is really good, ASICS takes the cake for now.
