Jawmetry brother. It is clear that KCR or TRS cannot achieve sep statehood for T..they neither have clout nor interest. If they couldnt make it happen in last 2 months,there is little doubt they can in future. Having said that KCR salvaged his image and his party status in T with the agitations and short brief victory when center announced formation of sep T. Current happenings in mumbai will have littel bearing on T because the center effectively doused sep state feelings.. Cong HC simply limited the issue to media and few political statements here and there..the outcomes of this whole mess is that lessening of Andhra's political hold on hyderabad and telengana may become a power player going forward. | ||

Getafix, i dont buy into this argument that KCR would like it if separation doesnt happen, How long can KCR enjoy being in this state of uncertainity? If you noticed, the past few weeks KCR has been very quiet. If separation is inevitable, they might make hyderabad-rr dist a UT or a separate state. The current happenings in mumbai will bear an influence on the future of the Hyderabad region. A new capital can be developed in no time, but this isnt the issue, the issue is about losing 55 years of development around a common capital. This separation is hard to happen in the civil and democratic modern india, possible only through force which again is not possible. So many national institutions and companies were setup in Hyderabad, if it were not the capital of three regions, Hyderabad would now be housing 1/3 the number of national institutions.These cannot be shared now and also, too many Andhra and Other State people have settled down in the Hyderabad because it was the capital of such a large region. If committee concludes that development is not the issue, GOI will definitely be thinking hard on why it should spend lakhs of crores on a new state for honoring sentiment.They might even think that the responsibility of compensation would lie with telangana region rather than GOI because their representatives want the separation. It is perplexing how a few people say "Give Andhra 200,000 crores and let them develop their own capital and state", like they own trees that grow money. The so called 'Settlers' are completely safe, the left behind Andhra and Rayalaseema regions viability as a state will be severely affected without hyderabad because most of the revenue comes from Hyderabad. Any kind of separation will affect all the regions. | ||
