Been in NJ/Chicago......chicago is no different to NJ in terms of anything..may be a little less crowded and has charming sub urban neighborhoods.. NJ ROCKS anyday!!! kavalsinanta desi junta...desi restaurants and stuff..LOTS AND LOTS of places to hang out in summer..driveable distance lo kathi kassak state parks, lakes, camping grounds......ultimate asalu.. Chicago sucks as far as summer entertainment goes..six flags undi adi kuda mega lite compared to NJ Six flags/cedar point etc.....absolutely no water parks..lake michigan is v v cold even in summer..saradaga boat rent chesi lake lo enjoy cheddam ante you've got lake geneva which is v small and v conjusted.......poni winter lo ski resorts keka ante adee ledu..totally a boring place.. Never been to TX but from what i heard from frenz, that place always seemed to be THE place to be..LOTSSS of desi junta, nice warm/hot weather, lots of lakes near by.....cheap cost of living..all the luxuries of america in a tropical setting..what more do you want?? given a choice, i'd love to move to TX/CA.. | ||

ade artamaitaledu naku. it is an attire that some people like to wear so what is wrong with that? you see people going around in different kind of attire and when you dont have a problem with that why lungi is targetted? just because americans do not know what it is? Few years back american's never used to eat desi food. when i came here in 94 there were very few desi restaurants and desi food was not that popular but what is the scene now? at lunch time you see desi restaurants full of americans chomping on our food with bare hands. the problem is we desi's become self conscious the minute we see other desi's. Simple example - We go to a pool with family and see other people over there and we have no issues and the minute we see a desi out there we become conscious and start feeling they are out there to peep. I have been in all three places for 2yrs. NJ: Good indian groceries, indian life style, malls and easy to fly to india. Chicago: MS chese time kaabatti NJ ki unna advantages taste cheyyadam kudaraledu. So no comment. Chicago lo kick untundi no matter how dreadfull the cold breeze is. If you dont like winter, this is not at all the place. TX: Depends on which city. Dallas rocks. Austin idea ledu. Houston lo fultoo desis and baane untadi ani talk. San Antonio no idea. If you are not into moving to TX I say move to VA/MD. Tons of jobs, beautiful states and lots of diversity. NJ is like armpit of vomrica in terms of how most the place looks. Winter is not bad at all. Va/md gets only 2 or 3 major snows an year. My imaginary friend went away for an year in search of his brain! | ||

ledu bro. salaries are not that bad. apt renting or home buying is dead cheap in TX. i wouldn't want to live in Texas ever, but if someone is looking to movie and cost of living is a factor, I would say move to TX.
