Is there a better yardstick for measuring someone's match winning contribution than a MOM award???? May I ask howmnay times did these people won for their team. Take for example, Dravid...nothing is more amusing than saying he is match winner in ODI, he has poorer win capacity than Sehwag and ganguly...but the common feels that dravid is better than Sehwag and ganguly in ODIs, which is not the case??? Sehwag and ganguly may fail no of times, but when they win they win for India. Whereas with Dravid, the case is different, he keeps on making those 30/40 runs, but with out fireworks' innings....that's the difference...If you are talking about winning singlehandedly and cosnistently, then most of your list is not valid. My question is how many times in ODIs, your batsmen won for their country???? again it's just your feeling...for example, take Klusner's lusty hitting of Shoiab Akhtar and then last over against Australia in 1996 WC. The moment we see these 2 matches, we become a fan of Klusner and we have a fixed opinion in our mind that Klusner is a match winner, because we saw 2 superlative efforts from him. Unortho,, Cricket is a team game match winner, match win contributor ane concept is nonsense. Unless they compliment each other no team can win. SA team lo they are more contributors so they give togh fight to everyone. That's just your feeling...what's the basis for this list, back your statement with statistics...I will agree only with Richards and Greenidge as they have statistics to support...This si the problem with us, we get carried away by what we feel about someone, with out actually checking how they fared in all thier matches... Oh yeah!! I have checked steve waugh, forget about Sachin, he is worse than Sehwag and Ganguly in ODIs, when it comes to winning a match, I am not talking about match win contributors here...In fact you forgot Michael Bevan, the so called finisher, I pitted his innings too against others... Is michael bevan a finisher or a winner, that's the question you have to ask??? India team lo evaru leru, except one off performances by each like Kumble - Hero CUp Sachin Sharjah, and may be couple more Yuvi & Kaif - Natwest batting first, may be India did good on more occasions, but no one dependable while chasing. one of the reasons was our bowlers.
