kekalu ... cakelu ... yes interval lo cake (with a lion toy on it) cut chesaru - never seen tht b4 ... arupulu ... nice high voltage atmosphere at the premier show in chicago!! long time due from balayya - a nice mass entertainer ... an action packed adrenaline rush and violence lovers will have a blast! story is cliche ... seen it before a million times ... flashbacks ... revenge dramas with just a few changes in lead characters portrayals (like balayya in doc n teacher roles) etc ... but trust my word this movie does not bore you. ****** plzz dont take ur kids (< 13) to this movie +ves: numero uno -- dialogues ... not very over the top like many other films ... crisp and hit the right note. "chudu oka vaipe chudu" ... gr8 response from audience nayanatara explaining abt balayya sr to the policeman was a very nice monologue.... great acting by her and she look'd drop dead gorgeous ... her costume designer too did an awesome job dolled her up with the most bright and beautiful bling lovely. then some fights are good ... first half lo fights ok not tht great ... but one tht stands out is when balayya beats the heck outta students who take drugs just to set them str8. 2nd half lo balayya intro too good ... kekaaaaaa ...train deggara fights too good when he 'almost ' kills the guy who already killed many villagers (how the guy is killed eventually ?? - watch the movie )... when its revealed tht balayya is london returned doc its a good turn to keep the interest going ... the other fight i liked was when the villain's son is killed by balayya when the guy kills on of balayya's patient ... gr8 dialogues b4 the fight kota acting kekaa ... as usual very nice work by him one scene tht stands out for me is when balayya sr is dyin with his dead wife on his lap and his son comes up to her and tries to wake her up ... the way balayya emotes is good ... bangaru konda is the only song i liked ... still humming it ... -ves aa villagers ni champi ... baavi lo vesinappudu ... the goons fill it up with granite cement or some shit ...amma seenu aa graphics ento looked very childish ... when balayya sr goes to the villains lair inbetween the homam .... the fight there is good but seenu missed a trick here ... he shud have pumped some story here or something ... it just keeps goin n goin excessive killing ... yes violence is good i like it but depecting it in the same old fashn tht we have seen 10000000 times b4 is like "old wine in old bottle" ....venu madhav pukat la chesindu ee sinma asalu aa comedy endo ... thu jhansi accent cool kaani OA ekkuvaindi ... bemmi kuda hmmm deprived of nice comic lines ... donno y but sneha ullal looked out of place ... for balayya jr ... some other actress a bit older wudve been nice ... the more i loved seeing nayanatara n balayya together the more i hated sneha ullal n balayya .... but thts tht kya karen ppl want to see young skin ... not seenu's fault chakri ammmmma babu nuvvu retire kaaa nee &*%% !!!! balayya fans u guys/gals will cherish this movie for a long time... as for me i liked it not loved it ... nothing exemplary n feel not much soul went into the making ... something somewhere is lacking ... gosh when will i feel tht rush and goosebumps again just like I felt while watching simhadri n magadheera ... will wait though My rating: 3/5 |
