movie is good but not worth 5 stars or 10 stars....i liked munnabhai MBBS more than this one... there is no originality in this movie just a half hearted attempt with toilet humor to sell the movie to a wide audience...it does have its moments but they are fleeting.... BTW there is no need to analyze the educational system of this country based on a commercial bollywood movie....if the educational system in this country is a stale dish then bollywood can be compared to a sewer and to take their word and criticize the system is ridiculous | ||

First of all read the review and don't say that just because 1 crore people liked it the next guy should also like it. I haven't read the FPS, neither fan of SRK. I expected comedy from this movie like Munnabhai. I am not from elite group of audience. For that matter I liked low budgeted movie "Bendu Apparao" more than this movie. Having said that, everything about this movie is waste including huge star cast. I know common movie goer just want to enjoy the movie and does not go for logic. I am a common movie goer, I don't watch award winning movies, OK! Coming to point, what the heck the director thinks about education system? Does he know what a patent mean? Does he expect people to become "Ramar Pillai" by testing their luck without having proper education? One of the childhood stories I was told about why there has to be a standardized system to pursue science, is as follows: There are several science enthusiasts who want to do research on Botany. ( For the sake of simplicity, lets consider two researchers, one Telugu guy and one Tamil guy). Telugu guy started his research on the fruit called "pandiri panDu" and spent 5 years of his time and came up with beautiful research. Similarly the Tamil spent his 5 years of research on a fruit called "Takkali" and finished research. Both claimed for patent rights for their respective works. To their surprise they did not get patent right as they both worked on the same fruit called "Tomato" on which there are already existing patents. its a fad to voice a de-facto anti establishment tone....what the reviewer wrote is absolutely true...educational system is too deep and weighsome a deal to poke fun off..that too as if he has a freaking solution to a malady..... There is a purpose for which that system is still functional cuz it addresses the economic plight of millions of youngsters...u cant make fun of that unless u change the incentive structure for a student to do anything off the main stream... U shud never forget that we are not even 20 years into open markets and the pace of economic flux is painstakingly slow in any setting...India has done very well for the last 2 decades...and it will evolve into a better economy...all u need is patience than to just jump onto the bandwagon and flare some nonsense abt a system that educates young minds with out a bloody solution at ur disposal..anukuntunna bhayya | ||

I think its high time we understand that only 0.1% of this world can dream and afford to be like a roncho....truely original and creative.....its not the norm but the necessity imposed by nature...that is the reason why there is a term called genius.... Chatur's characterization is nasty and shortsighted to say the least. He is a sterotype and there is nothing wrong in it....a typical slogger who wants to succeed....there was no need to justify the director's view of the world by injecting meanness into a character which is a true reflection of the socio- economic factors that are representative of the zeitgeist. Our meanness emanates from our skewed ideals of freedom when 99% of us are not even programmed to be truely independent. That is why we have reduced that phrase independent man/woman into a cliche coz we neither understand the scope nor appraise the implications of a truly independent mind. | ||

so...u are justified in enjoying the movie...but when u say that ur theme is an adaptation of a wrok, ur first job is to stick true to the inspiration...thats as simple as that...its called integrity....anything with out integrity..no matter what it might be is inferior, to me. Was the aim of the makers to make a funny film about a serious issue or just a funny film? 2. The education system doesn't lend itself to be superficially glossed over with the same brand of comedy, same dosage of irreverence and similar dash of anti-establishment flavor, as riling against a more simple humane treatment of people theme. The education system is too complex an issue to be tackled with the same joke-poke routine and any effort in that direction comes across as silly and childish. 3. Mugging up the answers is the only way to top in the current system, he declares, while conveniently ignoring that the same system did not prevent him from being brilliant, which leads to believe, that the system, even with its own intrinsic faults, is not to be blamed entirely for the all the evils and plagues.
