Chidambaram’s ‘Leg’ For Hyderabad UT So far, the idea of having a separate Telangana state seems distant but if that were to happen, then it is sure that there will be a tug of war between the Telangana leaders and the rest of the state regarding the capital city Hyderabad. Apparently, the TRS has its main agenda as acquiring Hyderabad under its control. However, the realistic situation is that if T-state is to form then Hyderabad will be declared as a Union Territory. But now, even that does not look possible as sources from Delhi reveal that the union home minister Chidambaram would not like it the least bit. Well, the view is that Hyderabad as UT would attract special privileges and facilities and this would mean that options run out for his home state Tamilnadu. And if the UT aspect is not happening then it would take years for Telangana to form. That way, Chidambaram is being thanked by Samaikya Andhra folks. | ||

I dont want to sound too cynical but from what i have seen n read past few days...If telangana is seperated and hyderbad slips from our hands then the one n only unity factor of AP is gone....Hyderabad is the place where people can venture freely without having to undergo through any prejudices or complexes....Now if its gone Iam afraid we are going to be further divided ....yes seriously think about it....we have seema where one community yields power...so kurnool cannot be made capital cause the other major community from krishna will feel insecure....Similarly vijayawada cannot be made capital as the other community is going to feel insecure..Again a common man doesnt care where the capital is going to be....but the leaders from these communities will defenitely raise an issue....If vizag is made capital then people gets confused if its capital for AP or Orissa... So one theory is make ongole as a capital....cause its centre for everything....the communities arent too polarized....But if anyone has seen ongole developing it into a capital will be a 50 year affair...I guess... So if Hyderabad is gone then we are in a deep shxt....we got to hold on to that man.....damn it |
