suggestion >> if your car is not new, try to go to a junk yard and get a replacement. you will save some money. if you go for a new one it might cost you more. at any cost dont invoke the deductible in your insurance, do that only if you dont get a suitable replacement or if the part costs a lot more that your deductible. just say it was a hit and run in the parking lot. end of story >> if you take defensive driving , you will have to pay the court fee + DD test 20-25$. It will make sure you dont get points in your driving record so your quote will not go up on account of that. | ||

closely following has tickets in all states as far as i know . unfortunate thing tammi, if u have the time to contest it you should and document the reason why bumper was in bad shape etc, if you are able to convince the judge fine otherwise tell him you will take defensive driving. its definitely worth a try. | ||

Both are unrelated. I hit the animal and due to it my car bumper was damaged. I need to know the price of fixing it as the car needs new bumper and will pay it myself if the cost is less or slightly more than my deductible without claiming insurance. Now coming to my ticket for following too closely I have either options of contesting or just pay the $200 fine and accept my fault or take defensive driving and pay fine and not let it go on my record. I strongly feel that I was wrongly cited but I am not sure what happens if I loose after contesting. | ||

As u didn't hit a vehicle, there is no one to claim..If urcar is old one So fix ur vehicle istead of going to insurance comp and pay the ticket.. This way ... Early morning I hit a Texas Armadillo which usually has a shell like body and in result my front car bumper damaged. Sare kada ani dulipesukoni konchem duram vellinataruvatha cop issue me a ticket for closely following my front vehicle. I am sure that probably I was little bit closer to front vehicle after I saw the cop behind me and cop was following me for couple of miles and then he issue a ticket($200) and morning bumper damage deductible $500. So total $700 loss after fantastic long week end Should I contest the ticket or just let it go by paying the fine. catch is I was issue ticket 100 miles from where I stay. So if at all I need to contest my moving violation ticket, I need to take off and hen drive to Austin. |
