Advaita vedanta nenu ardham chesukunnadi simple ga cheppali ante - there is no creator and created. There is only one entity - call it God/call it Brahman...we are all miniscule parts of that entity...the force exists in all of us and if we believe in and understand self, we realize self and God , and we understand everything that needs to be understood 
Kung Fu Panda 's premise - Po likes Kungfu but thinks its unattainable, he thinks he is not as good, as trained, as conditioned or as prepared as the furious five and has no chance of becoming a dragon warrior to reach the "secret" to limitless power ...even when he gets the secret and sees the scroll is blank he assumes he is unworthy of knowing the secret
It is when that lesson is enforced by his Dad's revelation that there never was a secret ingredient in their "specialty" soup - that he understands the significance of the blank scroll -that there is no external secret - the power is within him , if only he choses to believe in it
I think you can see the parallel

Book reading yes - but more fiction and creative writing...
My approach to religion and philosphy is very simple , practical and fun I am my own guinea pig 
It is more experiential and self-analysis than theory - simple process flow cheppali ante...
Experience- Analyse- interpret- check for precedents in texts/other people - compare their interpretation to mine - refine beliefs
Its like pattern-matching and puzzle-solving, and in the process I do end up researching into eclectic scriptural/philosophical texts, discuss and hear discourses
Jp-rocks perfect ga describe chesaru - I connect everything philosophically from the esoteric scriptures to cartoon strips..
It may be drive purists crazy but I see Advaita vedanta in Kung-fu Panda and the latter is so much more fun
Look inwards- your own consciousness is your aatmaguru - it will lead you to all the knowledge you need ani matram deduce chesanu ippatiki ee treasure hunt lo
