Guys, I am not a hater for anyone. For that matter, I try to see the strengths and weaknesses for any actor. I don't want to praise Charan just because he is the son of Chiru. If a different guy(beginner and not a son of another BIG hero) acted in this movie in the place of Charan, would you even care to watch? In the first place, he would not even get a chance to act in such a big project. We are comparing him with Chiru because he got a chance to act in this HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY budgeted movie just because he is son of Chiru. Thokkalo kaburlu cheppoddu.. second movie ye kada ani.. There are many many many talented guys waiting for a chance just to be shown in a one min scene on the screen. Not that I dont have any hatred for Charan, I am just trying to analyze him for acting in such a big budgeted movie. I appreciated his dance (though he does not show any grace), appreciated his extracurricular activities like horse riding. Lastly, one more +ve thing I would like to mention.. though I have complains about his dialog diction, his voice(tone) is FAR FAR FAR better than his brother in law Allu Arjun. | ||

I agree, but don't you think he can improve..Heroes like Nag could not improve their dialogue deliverey until their 10th movie or so and still after so many years managed to bag nandi for their performance..so is it a good idea to rule out charan in his second movie? | ||

Dhaarkar anna... Chiru first movies anni nenu choosanu. Whether it be manavoori pandavulu or punnami naagu.. Kalla thone expressions palikinchagala samardhudu Chiru. Ika dialog delivery.. just one example, Charan says "PRAY-A-NAANIKI siddham kandi" instead of "PRAY-AA-NANIKI siddham kandi" and that too with a low tone. I can't imagine chiru saying the same dialog in the same way even in his first movie. Chiru has a manly voice and a good diction. For any actor, diction is very very important to be called a real actor. Otherwise, he can go for a dubbing artist. | ||

Just wanted to share my opinion on this big movie. Yes, I watched it on the big screen and found it really a nice treat for the eyes... kudos to the ART direction, special effects and graphics. RM made it interesting not just by the concept of incarnation but giving a Royal touch to the previous birth. But, as any of his movies, ee movie kuda.. content thakkuva, hadavudi ekkuva. But, one thing I want to say honestly is the main credit for the movie should be given to the art director and cinematographer(I don't know who they are). The only way Charan could help this movie is through his dances and horse riding. His dialog delivery is a big let down(atleast for me). I can no way compare him to Chiru. For Charan, his face is a big disadvantage to portray himself as a hero. In Magadheera, all other departments have overshadowed Charan's weaknesses(whether it be dialog delivery or his facial features etc ) I hope we will see the Charan's real capability in his next venture by Bommarillu Bhaskar(assuming he is going to make a performance based movie rather than a movie with heavy settings and special effects). |
