Rajamouli/Special effects : Well with the DVD's of all the movies mentioned above, he didnt have to struggle much and he was also careless/arrogant on the script side. Why? 1. He saw 300 and came up with concept of 2 mountains very close so that only few people can pass through them(concept used in 300). The graphics settings in Bhairava kona resemble these 2 close mountains, but looks like he shelved that idea in middle and instead opted to watch Anji DVD. The entire Lord shiva statue and the small passage that leads to it is a straight life from Anji. This shows that he was careless and just picked up stuff from here and there. 2. The biggest joke is the helicopter episode in climax which was a straight lift from Planet terror/Grind house. The idea of using helicopter blades to kill people is used in comical sense in that movie, and here its used used seriously and it looked pale. I think the same idea was also used in 28 weeks later. 3.Movies like Troy had so much influence that he or rama rajmouli even literally copied the 'Raja guru" costume and it exactly looked like what those Greek scholars/heads in Troy. 4.I dont want to even mention about that Jeep+Helicopter crash..Its pathetic. Chiru's episode was not good either. 5. Spear killing episode of the lawyer etc is inspired again from apocalypto. 5.Ghora and his makeup was not effective.Just watch those ghoras in arundhati..they send chills across the spine.. Infact syam prasad reddy would have handled the entire second half much better than Rajamouli. With the help of special effects team, RM just made sure that he reproduced everything in the same way and thats the reason i would not rate this movie as his best work. However he had his own mark in few scenes 1.The first episode was intelligently placed(screenpla wise) that sustains interest in the audience in the entire first half. 2.The competition scene and the last moment act by RCT to win it 3.Episode in Kajals antahpuram/apple eating scene and RCT's conflict with villain 4. Killing episode of the 100th man in sherkhans army. 5.RCT directing a spear to kill 2 people who are about to grab the heroine in the fight episode. 6.Using the same sword to kill the villain twice. These are way less compared to his high energy blood pumping scenes in chatrapati. | ||
