Hope he concentrates on them. He looks good in scenes with destruction and anger. Feeling shy and requesting are not suitable for his face and body language. I felt like he was over cautious while delivering the dialogues. He should improve his dialog delivery. Over all, he did his job adequately as an actor. RCT is here to stay... coming to your review fights lo body movements kee importance ichaaru meeru...kaaani I liked expressions more...100 men fight lo charan eyes tho baaga express chesaau...eyes narrow chesinappudu he has the intensity of his dad...I always liked Chiru and venky fights sequences, walla eyes lo kodhram untaadhi... also 100 men fight lo movements ekkuva pedithay it will be one more aparichuthudu fight that u mentioned( it was on matrix 2 fights lines)...but ippudu 300 type lo choopinchaadu kabatti it is the new trend anukuntunna... I have been trying to get a ticket for Magadheera And at last, with the help of my good old friend, I got two tickets (in the 2nd row  ) First things first... This is my first review on any movie. What made me to write this is... MM Keeravani, Fight master Peter, Sri Hari, Mumait Khan, other technicians and artists for vfx, cg and dance MUSIC.. I would have slept at 23:00 as usual but something is preventing me to sleep. Some music is still audible in my ears and heart. The movie was finished 4 hours back, but my brain is still sensing the music. It's the sound from the huge drums prior to the hero vs 100 soldiers fight. Other places where the background music rocked.. --> Hero chasing the bus for his lover --> Hero's entrance on a horse from the water layer --> Hero grabbing the cloth of the princess from his rival FIGHTS..... I was very much(not completely) impressed by the fights in Aparichitudu(Hero trying to kill Sada and the fight academy students + master try to rescue her) I rate that fight 3.5/5 And I rate the fights in Magadheera.... --> hero vs 100 .... 3.75/5 I would have rated this 4/5 if there was no "leave it to the imagination of audience" kind of scenes in this fight. I hate the closeup shots in fights. body movements are the soul of Fights; not the face expressions - they are just a part. The way how the hero kills the 99th soldier is outstanding. It reminded me of yesteryear's megastar in movies like khaidi # 786 --> hero fights with a few goons to take his lover from the palace. That lasts for a very short duration but that was top class. I rate that 4/5. That short and good fight is a very good mixture of stunt performers and vfx(visual effects) artists SRI HARI.... I was very much worried if Sri Hari is playing a comedy role. The reason is..I saw the climax clip(My friend's studio worked for a few shots in this movie). Sri Hari was saying something with his hands folded and palms placed on his neck. We had only the video with blue screen and no audio. So my tension increased. But to my relief, that was a very small scene and that too at the end. So I relaxed a lot. From a stunt man to a comedian to a hero to a character artist.. Sri Hari has a very good career graph. He added a very good weight to the hero vs 100 fight. Sri Hari's scene with a lady (probably his crush) was a little irritating. (May be because people like me don't like teenage love stories. This is just my opinion)But that scene had some sense to convey how much Sri Hari's character cares for a poor guy like our hero (Sri Hari sacrifices a kiss ) Immediately after that.. his expressions were awesome in the item song. I love to watch Sri Hari in a character that helps others with his strength. MUMAIT KHAN.... she is sexy she is hot she is very good at dancing but she was asked to give some unnecessary expressions in some scenes. Hope she gets a right role soon(rather than item songs). The way how she bent her body (while Charan dances on his single leg) was too cool. I would love to watch if she creates a pop album with Smitha ;) ART DESIGN: (Forgive me here. I'm a technical guy and a common man may differ with my opinions) The art design was very good. Ranging from the footwear to the lion statues the art was excellent. But..the material used to create the fort and other buildings failed to look like a rock. It appeared like a hallow cardboard Some time back, I saw Sr. NTR's movie (probably.. Daana Veera Soora Karna ?? ) In that movie, there is a huge rock black lion (it appears like rock). I admired the movie creators for their taste(and yes..i dont know them ). In Magadheera u can watch many such creations. metalic creations, rock creations (metalic and rocky atleast apparently). They are good looking but they wont appear as Indian art pieces. Hope Rajamouli visits our Rayalaseema region for some references for any historical/mythological movies in future(Thanks to Sri Krishna Devaraya and others). The Bhairava statue was very well designed. The face could have been better. VFX and Graphics: (Forgive me AGAIN here. My domain is 3D graphics and games. My view and opinions may not match with those of a common man) As far as VFX is concerned, we are very good in producing quality movies(with a reasonable budget). I liked the VFX in... --> bike stunt --> hero hanging from the helicopter --> soldier swings the sword and the sword cuts the arrows that penetrated into the hero's body. (My friend did background removal for this) --> blue screen in the background was replaced with a land scape and the scene contains kajal with her hair moving due to wind(1 vs 100). (Oh Man..hats off to those who worked on vfx for this and for the software developers) And coming to 3D Graphics, still we are not upto the mark. The comet's tail with dust, the narrow path from the hills to the Bhairava statue etc could have been improved. The VILLAIN: He is good. He is looking strong and rough. He did his job well. But.... Is it too much if I ask for a villain character with few more qualities (good or bad), apart from the two qualities...(a)lust on the heroin (b) thirst for money&power? I loved the role of Bala Krishna as "SULTAN". Hope to see powerful villains with relatively better qualities and resonably less cruelty. CHARAN: He has got good eyes that can exhibit a lot of expressions. Hope he concentrates on them. He looks good in scenes with destruction and anger. Feeling shy and requesting are not suitable for his face and body language. I felt like he was over cautious while delivering the dialogues. He should improve his dialog delivery. Over all, he did his job adequately as an actor. I rate him 3/5 for his acting and dialog delivery Coming to his dance.. He was able to do difficult steps easily but struggled for some simple steps at few places. (I feel so coz..May be because my expectation levels are high) I should say that..Allu Arjun's wave dance in "taka dhimi thom" (arya) is similar to a dance movement in "Bangaaru kodi petta" song. I should say..Allu Arjun is a better dancer when it comes to dance moves that involve waist and hands. And I consider Charan is better when it comes to the leg movements, when he is compared with NTR and Allu Arjun. My dance comparision(My personal opinion) (I'm not considering Ram, Lawrence, Prabhu deva, Hrithik, kamal, nitin, Ganesh etc) group...1st, 2nd, 3rd (1st is best) slow steps...Allu Arjun, Charan, NTR grace........NTR, Allu Arjun, Charan fast steps...Charan, Allu Arjun, NTR flexibility..Allu Arjun, Charan, NTR expressions..NTR, Allu Arjun, Charan This is not a right time to compare Charan with AA and NTR. Still Charan has a long way to go. May be after 4-5 movies we can make a more appropriate comparision. Over all, I rate Charan 4/5 for his dances FIGHTS: Charan has the ideal body for the role of a soldier. He is doing great in fights. He is strong. He is acrobatic and he is willing to take risks. I wish to watch him in a movie like "Enter the new dragon" Hope he will entertain more with his fights. I rate Charan 4.5/5 for his action skills Overall..Fans has got a good reason to enjoy. You will get entertainment that has more worth than the ticket price. Charan DID met the fans' expectations. and coming to RAJA MOULI: I'll give you some information.. I leave the comments on Raja Mouli it to your brain... --> hero trying to fulfill his centuries old love................. The Myth --> crashing a helicopter with a four wheeler..................... Die hard 4.0 --> many scenes (I leave it to your memory)....................... 300&Gladiator --> Hero chasing Helicopter............Police story? of Jackie Chan --> Hero coming out of fire............Enter the new dragon |
