nakaithe biggest disappointment is seeing chiru in that scene...avsaram leni scene adhi...chiru vacchinapppudu gola chesaru kaani a taravatha chiru dance step ki migatha vatiki no response....weakest link in the entire mvie was bangaru kodi petta.... ekkada chiru dance aa pataki ekkada RCT dance....no way anybody can touch chiru in terms of grace or dance moves...RCT chala kasta padi steps vesadu but compared with the old song this pales... RCT should stop the comparisions with his father...the earlier he realizes the better it is for his career.... | ||

Good post mama..especially RCT gurinchi, he has done a very good job and still there is scope for improvement but yes it is his 2nd movie and has got a long way to go. aa warrior getup kosam appudu koncham body penchi stout ga kanipinchadu and ade personality tho bangarukodi petta song lo chesadu. Watch him in the 2nd song of the movie , he is really refreshing correct shape lo unnadu. 2nd half flashback episode lo his expressions and looks are terrific. | ||

Lights off....Allu Ramalingiah presents... and the titles starts rolling....The background score producing some ancient hindu sounds bringing that forbidden eerie feeling to the plot.... juxtaposed with the voice of sri hari...counting....33....55...and the sounds of metal slashing human skin....cut back to counting...99....and the titles end with the close up of eyes of RCT..... What a way to roll the titles...aint it????awesome.... Titles end and we see a young couple dressed in period clothes....the woman gorgeous n bleeding with a wound on her stomach and looking like she is breathing her last air n being sorrow for leaving this beautiful big blue planet....And the Man dressed as a waarior with arrow stubs all over his armour.....And after a dialogue they both end up falling into the huge valley....with a BG score dat feels nostalgic and even the scene in which the pair rather than looking like they r plunging to the abyss r shown as drifting n flying....COme on wat movie was dat??? Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragin CLimax shot ..... But nevertheless.... Wat a way to begin the movie.....awesome anthey..... Magadheera borrows heavily from foreigh classics....But what works in its favour is instead of borrowing them n making a mockery of them Raja Mouli for Most part lives up to them by justifying his inspiration....Our mythology and ancient folklore of the prince n princess tales are written so imaginatively that Magadheera is a case study of how the current technology can be used to narrate those tales in a spell binding manner to the moviegoers... The movie has its share of incosistencies....The first half tests ur patience...The repeated scenes of hero touching heroine hands and gettin static and the flashes of his past birth appearing looks cheesy after sometime...The villain in first half is like Gullu from Bollywood calling...More lusty more lusty.....The usage of penta4 grpahics in first half will be a tough competition for VV graphics.....But the picturization of third song in golconda tombs is very poetic..... And then 40mins or so from the beginning thankfully u will be taken to the Past...And man What a Past it is....Its Royal...Its Rich with art....And majestic with colours and its Beauuutiful with the princess....And its scary with the senapathi and Its Rocking with KALA BHAIRAVA......The action choreography with horses and the swords and bows n arrows is spectatcular for a regional movie....U will be completely transfirmes to that era...Trust me U havent seen anything like this in a regional movie.... This movie belongs to technicians.....everyone deserves an applause...kudos... Rajamouli has got vision....he is an excellent technician and he cleverly knows how to use the technic in his narration...But what he needs is maturity n consistency in story telling n scene selection....or else he will end up like KRR....hope he wont....He opened the avenue for period films n increased the scope for other dirs n story tellers n actors to venture into this zone....If it is ,then this pic might end up as a trend setter....Lets hope... Kajal is cute and she did OK....Her emotions are pretty sobre in that very imp fight sequence...U have an RCT there coveying poetry through his eyes and she couldnt match to that intensity....But then asking for a good looking girl who can also act great is too much to ask for a telugu cinema...so Ok Srihari is good....the villain looks cruel....so I think he did good.... And then RCT...well he is pretty decent in the contemporary role....His wardrobe is cool......his dances are excellent...esp the last song....His fights are awesome....infact he n kajal r one of the reason that u wont walk out of the theatre in the first 40 mins....But he has to watch out for his make up.....he is not famous for his looks....so he should stop experimenting with them...like tying up a pony tail....it wont suit him....Movie audience r tooo superficial....he should be careful and he should also watch out for his facial expressions in mass songs....sometimes they r weird....May be he should watch those songs again...go back to drawing board n work on them and also on his dialogue modulation....and one request to RCT though....Dont ever for ever try to remake chirus songs like u did in this one....Some things r better untouched....They should be left alone...they r classics man... But .....when RCT Dons that armour and holds that Sword and rides that horse....He is a Warrior.....He sells the most Masculine role ever written for a telugu hero with such a conviction that even haters should applaude.....Watch out for the scene when the villain grabs the chunni from the princess n watch out the way RCT reacts....He is perrfect as the period warrior....The strong pints of RCT is he has a very expressive eyes....Watch for that now famous fight with 100 soldiers of sher khan.....His portrayal of pathos of losing his kingdom n the princess n the anger and kasi against the enemies responsible for dat is pure class....he is a class act in this movie.... Bottom line is RCT is here to stay......and DBs are going to be active And....15mins into the movie U see a middle aged guy....looks like he is in 50s....He talks to RCT n warns him not to harass the girl....And he flirts with the girl in a telangana accent and then we even see a glimpse of him in his prime doing some cool steps....And then he walks away from the camera in his inimitable style..may be forever.....all in span of 2 or 3 mins.....And then ...for a moment....U wonder....if this guy is on screen then u dont need a powerful plot or green screen technology or cutting edge choreography....His presence is just enough to stick peoples asses to theatre chairs for 3 hrs....Dats Megastar in a guest role for 3mins....And we will miss him in movies...damn.... watch magadheera....its very very entertaining..... |
