It was pouring and scribes landed up at Ram Charan's home for an interview. A journalist from a national daily sought an appointment and went there on time. The security asked the scribe to leave the car at the entrance and walk all the way to his home while it poured continuously. The journalist refused to alight from the car and finally they let the car in. In a shocking display of unprofessionalism, the actor conveys the message that the journalist should return the next day at a particular time and drove away past the journalist without a request or an apology. The press person gave an earful to the young Magadheera's staff reminding them that his first film was a flop, and the press was here on account of his father being a popular person and such starry airs and attitude should be diverted to those who suffer them gladly. Some scribes also to be blamed Whether it is a film review or an interview, most of them are managed by spin doctors and PR managers, one can't blame them as journalists too have stooped to such levels for money, contacts and gifts. Recently a scribe who works for a website goes to a director's home and asks what rating he should give for the just released musical extravaganza. Chiranjeevi atleast puts on an act of being polite and courteous to journalists when he is busy or not in a good mood, but the younger generation, lack that kind of patience, tact and take their place for granted. The scribes meanwhile continue the show, all these years they have been boot licking the fathers, now they will do a ditto to their sons. |
