just because americans praised him, and the world at that time, in the 80's and 90's wanted to be more like america, MJ enjoyed the world-wide recognition ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------- Music is relative. Not everyone doesn't have to like the same thing. Or, one who learned and loves Karnatic music (like me) can also like MJ's music. I don't think MJ was popular only b'coz the rest of the world was trying to ape Americans. That's a wrong thing to say. His music makes your body move. Obviously not everyone likes his music, doesn't make his fans any inferior to others. The man is an artist, a philanthropist, he was never found guilty of any crimes. There was an interview in the morning....some good news to MJJ fans. Looks like only part of the work is released in the albums and there is still some unpublished/unreleased work which is now "Sony" is claiming that it's their property and expecting to release soon...if things go as planned. Here's something someone put forth so eloquently. Let the dead rest in peace. He was eccentric, unusual, and different, but he also was compassionate, hardworking, and arguably more talented than any entertainer we have ever known. He did have plastic surgeries, but it was his choice, not ours. He was accused of child molestation on two occasions, but he wasn’t convicted either time. If someone is exonerated of a crime for which they are accused, they are free to live their lives without having to endure the accusations that come with that crime. Yet, we couldn’t let it go with Michael Jackson. We had to bring it up every time his name was mentioned, glossing over his other accomplishments, which were too numerous to count. It’s time to lay this burden he shouldered for so many years to rest, and focus on every good thing he did and stood for. On this day, we owe Michael an apology for all that we have done. It’s long overdue. | ||
