Please re-read the case. Primarily, P has had some work experience before, so his life-style is a little different and rather appealing and B is attracted to that only, his charisma, the way he carries himself and all. Why would this statement appear assumptive rather than assertive. That was actually the reason B told A, why she was getting attracted to P, as per my friend's version.
