caste anatam kannaa chatur-varna anukovatam correct. Despite being God's own phyical form, each had their respective responsibilities or rather chores to perform in each of the avataaraas. Vemana was born a Brahmin, like all other brahmins those days, he went to BEG from the rakshasa king Bali Chakravarthy. Krishna was a cow-herd's boy, a Yadava and used to milk cows everyday, despite leading the Pandavas in the war - we know this from the Ganapathi charitra story. Rama was entailed to protect his Kingdom as a Kshatriya King. All preceding avataraas were animal related forms and hence, their "Duty of life" wasn't given much importance. | ||
