i had brought my dog home when he was 3 weeks old..could barely see straight up..was of a tea cup size....my sis and i used to take turns and hand feed him with milk till he was 2 months old..from then he grew by leaps and bounds..6 months lo giant laga ayyadu.. whenever my sis or i get ready to leave the house (we visit our house only 4 vacations of course), he gets depressed..goes under the bed and wouldnt come out.. once he broke a marble teepoy that my mom had gotten herself on a special order.....he knew the teepoy was special..he did not come out frm under the bed for the whole day | ||

shux man..sad to hear that india lo ade prob.....cats are the biggest threat there....if birds fly away by chance, here they have a lot of found/lost forums, adoption centers etc..ade akkada aite once gone, forever gone..ya..ikkada cieling fans kuda undav ga....lets see how it goes..now i know all the tricks of the trade..my wife n i bought a big cage, toys, foods (regular, treats), gnawing tools etc etc..all set....i know how to treat the bird in his new home for the first couple of weeks.. | ||

i had a bonded dove couple back in india..but i did not have access to internet so i never knew a healthy cage size, toys etc etc......the male one was coming to me quite nicely instead of the cramped cage size and zero toys......but whenever i let them out, they would never return to the cage..i had to chase them around the house to get them back in..used to be a v v stressful exercise both 4 the birds and to me.. i curse myself for doing that to those lovely birds | ||
