Just language, grammar & sentence construction errors - they distract readers from teh story... Best way to correct is cut an paste into a word doc or email with spelling and grammar check - they will be highlighted and you can correct... for instance --"Nitya shaked her head" should be Nitya shook her head... Two months later ... Neeraj was shifted from ICU to VA rehabilitation center and he was recovering slowlly. Rather very slowly. He was lying on the bed with many tubes connected to him. He was trying to signal something but nobody was watching him. It was 10 PM, Satday night. Nurse and other support staff were busy watching some prime time shows on TV. He was thirsty. So he was signaling for water. He tried to get the buzzer on the table and a glass vase fell down from it. "Neeraj, What happened? Do you need something?" asked Nitya waking up from a nap in the chair next to his bed. She understood the signal and brought him some water. Tears started rolling down again... but this time from Neeraj's eyes. He kissed her hand and said ILU with his eyes. His eyes beg for her for forgiveness everyday... even though she let it got long time ago. Btw, their 2nd checkup results came up negative. First results were a mistake from the lab. Next day morning: Vivek and Nitya were getting ready to go to hospital. Vivek cell phone rang. And it was from Neeraj's mobile. Both of them were surprised. Nitya hoped that neeraj might have realized his mistake by now. Or he got even more angry after seeing my note? It was Neeraj's neighbor. Nitya could see the changes in Vivek's expressions as he talked on the phone. "What?" .... "When? How did that happen?" .... "Where ...?" .... By the time Vivek hung up the phone his face was pale. Not a single drop of blood. For the first time in his life he was shivering. He didn't know how to explain it to Nitya. Such a tragic news at a time when things were almost hanging from a cliff. He came to offer a hand to pull them but... He was little late. Message was, Vivek was driving home from a bar y'day night and met with a accident. He is in a critical condition at JFK hospital. After that he forced her to have some food. Finally, when they went in to their guest room, she burst out. Vivek was stunned. He thought Neeraj was a nice guy but never expected him to react this way. He thought first thing that she needs is little confidence and support. "Nitya, I honestly think you guys stretched it a little too far. First thing, you didn't even go for 2nd checkup to get the confirmation. 2nd, both of you tried to keep it secret for long time without meeting any doctors or at least friends." He continued "Don't worry. I am here now. Everything will be alright. Try to get some sleep now" Vivek didn't want to call Neeraj right away as he might fuel it further. He decided to take Nitya to hospital again next day to get the blood work done again. His plan was to get her checked first and if it comes out negative then he can go to Neeraj with reports and cool him down and then take him as well for the 2nd check up. She made a collect call to Vivek as she didnt have any money or cell phone. He was surprised to get a collect call from Nitya. "Whatz up Nitya? Why are you making a collect call?" "Vivek, i need a huge favor" "What is it?" "Can you come over and meet me at xyz train station?" "What now? Are you alight?" "Yes, start now. I will be waiting. I can't say anything more" "What happened? It is a long drive for me. Where r u right now?.." She cut him in the middle and said "I will tell you when i meet you. Please come at once". "OK, I will be there. Stay safe. Call me again if needed. I am on my way" Vivek was puzzled. But he couldn't guess what could possibly be wrong. He know that she won't make such a big scene if it was a petty fight with Neeraj. And he was worried. 10 mins later he was driving to VA. Few hours later.... When he finally met her at train station, he couldn't realize her at first glance. She suddenly looked 10 years older. Her hair was not done. He could see the traces of tears marks on her face. She looked terrible. The moment Nitya say Vivek, she ran in to his arms and started crying... she forgot that it was a public place and many were watching them. After Neeraj left, Nitya silently went to the kitchen and washed her blood off and put on some bandage to stop the bleeding. She dropped the idea of calling Vivek. She went to her bedroom and fell on the bed. Slowly she went to sleep while crying. After some time, she woke from the sleep suddenly due to the commotion from the outside room. She gained little energy to step outside the room to take a look. Neeraj was breaking all the furniture in the living room and calling her names. He was demented she thought. The moment he saw Nitya, he lost his senses and dragged her out of the house. "You bixxx.. get out of my site. Thank god that i am leaving you alive" He threw her out of the house and locked the door. She was not shocked anymore. She didn't even try knocking at the door. She knew it was no point in talking to him when his senses are not in place. She only knew one place to go to at this time. She had no other choice. But before leaving she wanted to leave a message for Neeraj. She picked up a paper and wrote something on it and left it at the door. And she silently left. Note said - I am going to Vivek's place. Nitya decided to get some advise/help. First thing that came to her mind was Vivek. She didn't want to pass on the news to him initially... but she thought he might be able to guide and support them at this tough time. Little did she know that, she was making a grave mistake. "Neeraj, I think we should get some advise from someone" He didn't respond. He was sitting in a chair and looking outside the window. Nitya asked again "Should we talk to Vivek? He might be able to suggest something" She didn't know what was coming. BOOM... before she could realize a chair came crashing towards her. The moment he heard Vivek's name neearaj lost his temper. He threw the chair at her. "Damn you woman!! It's all because of you. You screwed my life" Nitya was puzzled, What are you talking about Neeraj? And why are you saying "YOUR life"? "Yes, my life. You f'd my life by f'ing him. Everyone knows he is a playboy and goes around many girls. You bixxx" Tears started rolling over her cheeks. She was already in pathetic state from last few days. And on top of this this new allegation. The man who promised to stand by with her in pain and happiness is the same one who is deserting her when she needed him the most. She didn't even feel like responding to his accusation. "I am going to kill both of you" shouted neeraj while pushing her to a corner. She didn't have energy to stop him. Her head hit the wall and started bleeding. Suddenly Neeraj looked like a third person to her. 5 years of love vanished in 5 minutes. She felt alone suddenly. She still didn't complain. After solacing her for sometime she finally opened up. Their Life insurance company called few hours ago and gave a terrible news. She asked for confirmation and they said we have verified everything but it is a fact. That both of their blood test reports came up positive for HIV. Neeraj couldn't believe it. It is just impossible. He immediately picked up the phone and called them again. Same answer from the other side. He demanded them to fax the reports to his home. 10 mins later Neeraj crashed on to the floor after looking at the reports. He didn't know how to react. Nitya's position was no different. Both sat there for long time without talking. Hours went by, still not a word spoken. None of them bothered to think about lunch or dinner that day. Vivek called up office next day morning and asked for 1 week leave. They hardly ate something 3-4 times in the whole week. They weren't prepared for such a terrible situation. The next one week was the most terrible time that they have faced in their life till then. Nitya was the first to recover a little from the shock. She started thinking what to do next? Should they go for another check up? Should they reveal it to her parents who are doctors by profession? But Neeraj was thinking in to the past. He was wondering how could they get it? Few hours later... Most of the guests are gone. Few close friends stayed back to help the couple clean up after the party. Neeraj, Nitya, Vivek and couple of other friends settled couches for few drinks. Viveks points out "Nitya, Have you realized that you are developing black circles around your eyes? You need to take some rest" "She is tired from yesterday.. that's all i guess" responded Neeraj quickly. "Not really... even i have observed them few times in last couple of months" confirmed another common friend. Neeraj felt uncomfortable as he was the only one who couldn't spot them. And he felt like hitting Vivek in his face making him look like a fool. Few days later... One fine day after dinner, Neeraj proposes to nitya "Isn't it the time that we should plan for our future?" "What do you mean?" asked Nitya "I mean.. next step.. kids..." murmured Neeraj "I have one at home and i am tired of taking care of his needs. I don't need another one now" joked Nitya. "Hahaha.. good joke. Com'oon be serious... this is the time i guess" "We will see... that reminds me something... Vivek and Nitya were good friends from college. Destiny drove them to same place in usa few years after college. Vivek and Neeraj also became good friends over the time. But neeraj used to feel jealous about Vivek sometimes as Vivek had everything that a guy wishes for. Vivek was handsome, energetic, excellent job, sports cars and lot of girl friends. And he was a good flirt too. Few hours later.... Majority of the guests have arrived and Neeraj and Nitya were busy catching up with everyone. Nitya was looking good in a tranditional saree. She has been recieving many compliments that evening. Neerj came over to her and asked Nitya "Shall we go ahead and start the ceremony?" "Let's wait for few more minutes... Vivek said he will be here in any moment" appealed nitya. "Ok, we can wait 10-20 mins more. Not anymore than that. I don't want to starve the guests." As they speak, a black bmw 745 drove in to the parking lot outside their home. Neeraj could see a hint of excitemnt in Nitya's eyes. Sometimes he wonders can a boy and girl be such a good friends forever? His bollywood flimi knowledge says otherwise. But Vivek never crosses his limits so far in last few years... at least not in front me he thought. And as usaully, Vivek makes a grand entrace ala Sharukh. Based on a friend's real life incident (Of course, A little drama is added  ) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was early spring in Virginia that year. Mercury was touching 80s already. So people have already started setting up party's in their lawns. Nitya was going crazy with all the preparations for evening's party. Neeraj and Nitya have recently moved in to their newly built home and were throwing a party to friends and relatives that day evening. "Neeraj, Did you call the caterers to check the status?" reminded Nitya. "Not yet. Why don't you make the call? Don't you see i am busy" replied Neeraj while talking to his friend on cellphone. "Is it the time to talk about movies?" Neeraj ignored and continued his conversation with his friend from India. "So what is the talk of Stalin in india? Is it going to break Pokiri?" Nitya shaked her head in disbelief and continued packing goody bags for kids. Strangely, she was feeling sleepy in the middle of all the work. She looked at the watch and it said 2:30 PM. I should take a quick nap to keep my self awake for the long night ahead she thought. She was going through the guest list and stopped at a name. VIVEK !! She sprang to her feet and picked up the cell phone and dialed Vivek's number to check his status. She was excited to see him after a long time even though it only meant 6 months.
