Krishnasekhar:

No way congress will get 65-70 in my opinion. Here are the reasons
1) All Telanganites current enemy no.1 is YSR. We can discuss further on this topic if you disagree.
2) There is no track record of incumbency vote in telangana. If u observe , congress gathered lot of setas in 1999 iteself while whole andhra+seema voted in favor of TDP+BJP. Many segments in Telangana have congress MLS up to a decade now
3) Development in telangana is less compared to andhra and seema. Take the case of # of irrigation projects and other specific schemes not general schemes like Arogya Sri, rice for 2Rs etc.
4) TDP+TRS combo has majority vote share {around 58-60%). It all depends on how much votes turns away from them,. even 10% is a big number. On average, # of people in segment are 2 lakhs. lets assume 70% particpated in election. that is 1,40,000. 14000 people who have voted earlier for TDP/TRS in one segment has to turn agnaist it. Even with this vote cut, TDP+TRS still have 48% and can win seats. In North telangan, Congress cannot win more than 5 seats.
5) dont count on bi-elections results where cong has 2 advantages 1) Anti vote split between TDP,TRS 2) Advantages of being in power. In north telangana congress won only 2 MLA seats + 1 MP seat. Both of them are in Nizamabad. you can see what happenned in ZPTC bi-poll later. IF you look at the stats and add TDP+TRS in those three places and remove 10% of vote share, still cong cant win them.

I respectfully diagree...nothing more to discus...we will see

Krishnasekhar:

If opposite candidates are united, cong will be wiped out from capital.

ee "if clause"lu yendi bedaru...ante nee vuddesam "if" andaru kalisi okkadini nilabedathara....you are telling exactly what saying....no ifs and buts.....congress will most of them in twin cities and majority in telangana.

On a whole congress will get less than 20. If they get single digit alos, i would not be surprised. Twin Cities cong have advantage is a big lie. If opposite candidates are united, cong will be wiped out from capital.
