100% was and is my answer.....since State govts cannot collect any Income taxes directly (Only professional taxes), the education cess is on top of the IT... This amount is sidtributed among the states as per the population, lobbying power of the MPs etc etc....Cong ruled states get more than non cong ruled states anyways - how does it matter | ||

Is it not a failure - of everyone...we are all paying 2% education cess on top of our Income tax...and we see the sad spectacle of children dropping out of schools because they are too far!!!!!!!Instead of using the 2% to set up more schools or give more incentives...or improve the hostel conditions.... yes -so please set up primary schools upto 5th std in every village....That is the agenda of PRP | ||

So called educated people......earning a lot of money...in the US / UK / Europe are being critical of a political party which is addressing the actual issues plaguing the nation... On sat, in TV5, Dr.mitra pointed out some of the key action points of PRP he asked - Why are children still getting afflicted with polio in our state despite taking the Pulse polio drops? Why are people still dying of Malaria and TB if we have PHCs in every village? Why are children of poor people dropping out of schools unable to bear the high cost of education and unable to travel the extra kilometeres needed to go to a nearby governmant school (A lot of govt schools in AP have been closed down in the last 9-10 years) Why is it that still a lot of villages do not have a single APSRTC bus service? Why is it that villages do not good power - electricity - alternative energy can be used in rural areas i.e. bio gas, Solar energy as the energy requirement of small villages is very less. Why is it that a bulk of our people still do not have acess to safe , clean potable water? THIS IS THE AGENDA OF PRP... I WAS A FAN OF CHIRU BUT DID NOT LIKE HIM COMING I NTO POLITICS...but when I saw people like Mitra, Prabhakar,Thota Chandrashekar, Subbayya Choudary and many more of thier ilk joining and guiding PRP, I was impressed.... PRP's agenda is the best since it is localized...it talks of the actual problems....what is happenning to the crores of RUPEES TAT IS BEING COLLECTED AS INCOME TAX? AND PRP IS PROMOISING AN AUDIT INTO THE SPENDING OF THE TAXES BY THE GOVT i.e. ALL NON PLANNED EXPENDITURE BY THE GOVT WILL BE AUDITED..... I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A POLITICAL PARTY TO SAY THIS AND PRP IS THE SECOND PARTY TO PUT THIS IN THIER MANIFESTO -the first was LOK SATTA (but sadly thier winnability is very low) | ||

The road show was planned very well..it was just that people turned up beyond expectations and chiru had to keep talking continously....normally roadshows ante oka meeting...60 mins tharavaatha inko meeting...kaani ikkada every 10-15 mins aaagi maatladaalsi vachhindhi and that too from 10 in the morning to almost 11 in the night......whose throat will hold good if you talk continously for 7 days.... If you were in India watching the NTV or ETV2 you would have understood - the yatra was continous except for the lunch rest of about 60-90 mns every day.... and regarding the agenda - PRP has to best agenda DECENTRALIZATION OF POWER - This will solve most of the problems INVESTMENTS IN PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE like Power, public transport etc etc Thrust on PRIMARY HEALTHCARE BY UPGRADING THE PHCs Thrust on PRIMARY EDUCATION BY UPGRADING THE GOVT PRIMARY SCHOOLS... All this is what the people of AP need...and this has been told by the party for the last 2 months....and if you prefer to close your ears - it is not PRP's fault....
