My mother is diabetic and we are trying Quinoa and brown rice if you buy fine long brown rice it is good but otherwise it is not cooking properly. I bought in Whole Foods. Try in Costco if you get a big bag....I buy 5 lb bags in Pathmark ... You will get 1 lb, 3 lb bags too..try smallest one first and then buy a big one. I buy Carolina brand. | ||

thammud....Brown rice has a additional layer on rice..so it needs more water and it takes additional time to cook. If you look at the packet...it has instructions...but most brown rice need 2 and 1/2 cups of water for a Cup of rice. | ||
